KENDALL HAD A problem.

The other day as the group of teens chilled in the lobby, basking in Ella's win of her copyright case, they were faced with an unexpected resident at the Palm Woods.

Lucy was back.

While Ella grew quiet, not exactly happy about this, and Kendall felt a grotesque mixture of awkward and uncomfortable, James uttered his own opinion on the matter.

"She will be mine."

Now, life at the Palm Woods was far from calm.

Kendall found himself sitting at a desk in the living room, speaking to four walkie-talkies with a huge bulletin board behind him with pictures of the exterior and interior of the Palm Woods and post-its plastered all around it. It was his and the rest of the guys' attempt to figure out which apartment Lucy was living in, so that he could avoid her, for the foreseeable future.

He saw Ella's face when the rocker girl walked into the Palm Woods with her suitcase and guitar, and he knew she wasn't feeling great about it.

Lucy brought back painful memories for the two of them, and with Ella being not only being the girl that he loved, but also the most important person to him, he wanted to put an effort to make sure that the rocker girl didn't get in between their dynamic anymore despite their relationship remaining platonic.

Kendall leaned forward, speaking into the three walkie-talkies that belonged to his friends. "All agents report. I repeat, all agents report. Over!"

Carlos peeked his head from behind some plants in one of the hallways. "No eyes on Red Falcon on the fourth floor."

James was tanning besides the pool, eyes closed, paying no mind as to whether Lucy was around or not. "She's not at the pool," he calmly said, walkie-talkie in hand.

"Are you sunning by the pool surrounded by girls in sunglasses?" Kendall asked in disbelief over the walkie-talkie.

James immediately opened his eyes. "What? No." He stammered. "I'm going through a tunnel!" He cried, imitating the sounds of himself losing reception before throwing the communication device away.

Ignoring James, "Logan, have you spotted the nest?" Kendall wondered, picking up one of the walkie-talkies.

Logan was sitting behind the front desk, typing away on Bitters' computer. "I am unable to hack into Bitters' system, and I'm a little freaked out by his screen saver." He fearfully said, seeing a picture of BTR with Bitter's head photoshopped on top of Carlos' to look like he was a part of the band.

Confused, Kendall put down the walkie-talkie as Mrs. Knight walked into the living room. "What are you doing?" She asked.

"Covert operations to find out which apartment Lucy moved into," he explained, pointing to the pictures on the board, "so I can avoid her at all costs."

"Honey, she lives here now." Mrs. Knight reasoned, "And you and Ella will just have to deal with this."

Kendall stood up, picking up his walkie talkie. "Negatory, because I have a team of special ops that will make sure Lucy never comes between us. Over!" He exclaimed, walking downstairs to meet everyone by the pool.

And as soon as he walked out the door, he came to the realization that Lucy lived right next to Apartment 2J when they exited their apartments at the very same time.

Ella, though equally as uncomfortable as Kendall, was better at hiding it. She didn't want him to know that it was bothering her so as to avoid any drama.
