Chapter 1

'Do you need anything else?'

'No no, that's all. Getting two sacks of potatoes is everything I need. You have to take care of your back too.'

You nod at your neighbor and leave her house. Since she is quite old you sometimes help her out with her groceries. 

Having bought the needed sacks, you leave the store.

At first, only one droplet of water falls down on you but then many more follow.

'Of course it has to rain when I walk outside without an umbrella. Well, I guess it's free shower-time.'

The people around you start either to run to find a dry spot or take out their colorful umbrellas, unlike you who continues their path like nothing changed at all due to the extra weight in your hands.

At some point you are completely soaked in the sky's tears. You stare at the grey clouds while walking up some stairs in the same said color.

'I wonder if my life is going to stay as boring and unmemorable as it is now.'

While you are lost in your thoughts a small boy runs down the same stairs you're currently on, bumping into you. You lose your balance and slip.

The world around you seems to halt and you prepare yourself to hit the ground with your back. But that moment never arrives as a woman behind you catches you.

'Be more careful next time. We don't want to create an unpleasant scene, right?', the woman smiles at you.

You thank her and continue your way home.

'If there is a god up there: I didn't mean it like that. My life may be boring but the exiting part about it shouldn't be its end. Also, red doesn't fit this floor.'

At your neighbor's house you deliver the potatoes and go back to your own.

You sigh. 'Damn, that was exhausting...'

After changing into dry clothes and drinking a warm glass of milk (or any other warm dink if you don't like milk) you lay down on your comfortable bed, letting darkness envelop you.

Several hours later you are woken up by the sound of birds singing. A butterfly sits down on your nose, tickling it in the process. You turn around, still having your eyes closed, to get rid of that annoying sensation, only to notice something else.

This isn't a bed you're laying on - it's dirt and grass. No blanket, no chair no house. Just you, the earth and the sunny sky.

'That's a...random dream.'

You stand up and check your surroundings for anything suspicious. Deciding that a normal dream is not worth staying in you let yourself fall on your back to wake up.

Your body meets the ground and an unpleasant feeling rushes through you.

After opening up your eyes you aren't greeted by the room you are used to but by the same blue sky which was already there beforehand.

...

'What.' You pinch your cheeks and other parts of your body with no effect besides the unwelcoming pain.

'Why. Is. This. Not. Working. A near death experience and now this? Great. Just great.'

Before you can curse your existence further you hear something like a bell ring right beside you. Searching for the source you spot a little pink light floating around you. It has a round shape and bunny ears on top of it.

You reach out for it with your hands and in contrast to your expectation it sits down in your hands.

'That's the most adorable thing I have ever seen in my whole life.'

'Hey little one, do you know what I am doing here?'

I shakes its body.

'I take this as a no. Do you at least know where we are or something like that?'

Same answer as before.

'Well, at least I am not the only one lost here. Since I assume that you don't know me, here my name: (Y/N). Do you also have a name?'

Another shake.

'Do you mind if I give you a name then?'

Still a shake.

'...not my problem if your default move is shaking. Let's see... Round, pink and cute with bunny ears. How about Rosa?'

This time it shakes its body in a similar way a person would nod.

'Alright Rosa. Time to figure out what the hell happened. Shall we go?'

The pink ball moves closer to you and sits down on your shoulder.

With that you two start your journey which will lead you to all sorts of strange and dangerous people. Looks like your wishes for a different life were heard after all.
