A sudden jolt finally pulls you out of your dream world. Where… are you? This place is so dark that it is hard for you to see anything at all. Aside from some occasional clacks it is silent, too. Are you still with Scaramouche or did you miss out on some major changes again? No, you still had to be with him. This place is so charged with electro energy that he has to be close by. This energy is so potent that it strongly reminds you of that one time when you had to face Ei in the Plane of Euthymia. Is the Balladeer getting closer to-
Another massive jolt makes you fly through the darkness, causing you to hit your head against some random wall. Seriously, where are you? Cautiously, you hold on to whatever your hands can find and look around. Now you can finally spot something: A purple light floating somewhere in the middle of nowhere. Upon crawling closer to it you can identify the light as a chess piece. “The Electro Gnosis…” Mesmerized by it, you reach out for it. This is the first time you have the chance to see a Gnosis in person, therefore you are very tempted to reach out for it. Centimeters away from touching it, a voice speaks up. “Don’t touch the Gnosis, puppy. I know you are stupidly curious but now is not the time for that.” That’s Scaramouche and his voice seems to come from… your head? Is he speaking to you through telepathy?
“Scaramouche? Where am I?”
“Inside my mechanical suit.”
Another sudden jolt makes you tumble through to the other side of this small space. “Why are you moving like that? Is something going on outside?”
“Nothing important. There is just a pest that moves too much. Don’t worry about it. Just hang on to the ground for the meantime, got it?” He says that whatever is happening out there isn’t serious, but he sounds rather stressed.
You want to question him, the frequent tremors make you decide otherwise though. Perhaps you should wait until things have quieted down and do as he says or else you might break your neck from all this falling around through the darkness.
The more minutes pass, the more you have to claw yourself at whatever mechanical piece you’re holding at the moment as the sudden movements become more and more frequent. Is he fighting someone? Aether perhaps? You wish you could hear something from outside this suit. It sucks not to know why this feels like a rodeo ride.
After what felt like an eternity, the sudden movements come to a stop. Not just for a minute or so, but entirely. “Scara…mouche?”
No answer. Before you can worry any further you hears cracks that are starting to form. That sound comes from somewhere nearby. Slowly but surely do more rays of light enter this small space through the expanding cracks, until that part of the wall breaks down entirely.
