I give her a deeper kiss and allow my emotions to rule. I live for how weak I feel around this girl. This bad boy from London has found love at last. I don't want anything to undermine our achievements or the goals we are pursuing. As I carefully back away, I give her forehead a kiss.
"We should go out there before they think we're in here—well, you know," I say with a smirk; she laughs and hugs me. I'm happy she's feeling a little better now. She looks up at me and whispers, "One more kiss." I don't hesitate as my lips push against hers. We both know that we have to go out there, but for this moment, time stands still. As we break apart, I can see the determination in her eyes. "Let's go," she says, grabbing my hand and leading me towards the door. We join Brie and Logan in the living room.
"I made coffee," Brie tells us. "Thank you," Raven responds. "Do you want some?" She asks me.
"Yes, please." I kiss her forehead. I sit down, and Raven comes back and joins me, sitting on the floor between my legs, her head resting on my thigh.
"What are we going to do?" Logan asks about the situation. "As I said, I'm going to kill them!" I say bluntly, clenching my fists together.
Raven snaps her head to the side, looking at me. "These are your friends we are talking about!" She says.
"Anyone who hurts you or gets in between us is the enemy!" I scowl. I don't mean to be rude, but I'm pissed at what they did; they're asking to get beat. They didn't just try to scare her; they physically hurt her, and a scar will be marked, reminding her of what they did forever.
"He's right." Logan agrees with me. "I think it's best we stay here with you girls for a while," He finishes. "I'm cool with that," I say.
"Same here," Brie says, "Raven?"
"Do we have a choice?" I begin to laugh as I lean down on her. "Nope," I say, kissing her cheek. "Fine," She sighs and rolls her eyes, but I see the little smile on her face that she is trying to hide.
That damn smile.
I get up and put my mug in the sink. "Ready?" I ask Logan.
"Wait, you're leaving now?" Raven starts to tremble. I walk to my girl and wrap her in my arms.
"It's okay. Brie is here with you. We'll be quick, I promise."
We tell the girls to lock the door behind us and not let anyone in. "I have your keys," Logan says, kissing Brie.
"I love you," I whisper as I kiss Raven's lips.
"I love you," she says, kissing me back.
⁂
Logan and I are both tense as we make our way to my car. How the hell did this all happen? How did we end up here? We quickly gather everything we require as soon as we arrive at home. When we were finished, it appeared as though we were moving with them. As we put some blood bags in our backpacks, we both make our way to the kitchen. I take two and give him one before leaving.
"We're not going back to the girls just yet, are we?" Logan asks me as we walk toward my car.
"Nope." We load the car and get in. I drive towards Alec's place. As we pull up, my blood is boiling. I'm going to kill them both. They both know better than to meddle with what belongs to me. I kick the door in, and it's silent.
"They're here. I can smell them!" Logan looks around.
"Come out, come out, wherever you are." I taunt. My anger is reaching its boiling point.
"Oh, come on, boys, we just want to talk; there's nothing to be scared of," Logan lies.
I look up to see both of them clinging to the ceiling. "Get down!" They do just that and stand in front of us.
"Clay, Logan, what's up?" Alec nervously says.
"We heard about your little adventure today," Logan says, arms crossed; he can be nasty when he's mad—not as bad as me, but close enough that they wouldn't dare try taking us on. Logan's eyes are red, and he is breathing heavily; he's ready for the fight of his life.
"Man, calm down," Alessandro says. "Let's talk about this." He finishes.
I think about how this will play out; woods surround their property, and then it hits me, this will be fun. "Didn't I tell you before not to mess with my stuff?" I scowl.
"Clay, seriously, we're sorry. Sloane told us too," Alec says, stepping back. Of course, she did.
"Well, since you both seem to like playing games, why don't we play one?" Logan smirks; he knows exactly what I'm thinking.
"Wh..what kind of game?" Alessandro mumbles.
"Hide and seek!" I give them a wicked smile, them not knowing what is about to come.
Alec nervously laughs. "Isn't that a kid's game?"
"Not the way we play," Logan growls.
"You see," I remark as I approach them, "Logan and I will start; you flee and hide if we don't find you; you guys live to fight another day." Then, there in front of them, I take Alec by his collar and pin him to the wall, saying, "But if we find you, we tear you both apart." My crimson eyes are preparing to rip into them. They go pale, and I internally smile. "Run!" Logan barks. And like that, they're gone.
"Let the games begin," Logan laughs; we run outside and listen for them.
"This way!" I tell Logan. "There," He points towards Alec, "I'll get the other one."
I move cautiously through the trees as I keep an eye on Alec. My heart starts to race, but I immediately smile at the idea of tearing him to pieces. I'm right behind Alec, and Alessandro won't be far behind.
"Could you make this any easier?" I say, and he jumps. He didn't even hear me come up from behind him.
"Clay, please," He begs.
"Cut the bullshit," I bark.
He straightens himself out, and a mischievous grin crosses his face. "You're right. I've always wanted to kick your ass," He scowls.
I'm not someone to mess with, especially when you mess with my girl. He lunges at me but misses; one strike to the head and he's down. He suffers many hits to the head before I'm jerked away. As I turn to face Alessandro, Alec grabs my arms, allowing him to strike. However, before he could, Logan lunges at him, startling Alec, and I regain control. He screams and begs, but it's too late once I rip into him. I managed to tear out his heart by plunging my palm into his chest. Beside Alessandro, I toss his body to the ground.
"The girls are going to kill us," Logan laughs.
"Yup, but it was worth it," I reply with a smirk, shaking the blood off my hand. One problem down, a couple more to deal with. As we walk back to my car, I look down to see my shirt covered in blood. I shake my head as I get in.
Raven is going to kill me.
