I grip Raven's hand tightly and refuse to let go as we descend back into the tunnels. I tightly hold on to her as we walk the girls to their apartments underground. I tell her, cradling her face and wiping the lone tear that escapes, "I wish I could come up with you."

She is upset that I'm not always by her side, and I can sense it. I share her sentiments. I would be by her side if I could. She's in danger, though, and I won't let her suffer any harm. "Why can't you?" She asks.

"You know why? There's no doubt Vlad told the Lycans where he was going tonight. So they will be looking out for anything out of their control." I look at her, her face in my hands.

She faces the ground, "Okay," and I feel guilt covering my face as she holds back her tears. I kiss her, and she lets me take her in; I need her, and she needs me. But there is still a lot ahead of us to deal with.

"Why don't we go up and make sure the coast is clear? I'll text you to come up," Logan suggests. I look at Raven, and she has a massive smile on her face. I nod and kiss her again.

I wait in the tunnels, stirring up the dust. What has happened to my life, the battles and wars, and the existence of things I was unaware of. Since the day I met her, life has grown more challenging, yet without her, my world would not be complete. So, I'll battle alongside her all the way to the end. My phone buzzes, and I take it out of my pocket.

The coast is clear. She's in her room waiting for you - the text reads.

I head outside, make sure no one is around, and jump onto her balcony. The door is open, and clothes are on the floor. I hear the water running. I lock the balcony door and her bedroom door and head to the bathroom. "Raven?"

"I'm in here," she says over the water. I wait for her in the doorway. When she asks for the towel, I give it to her and watch as she moves toward her bed. She puts her head against my shoulder as we both sit, and I breathe in her aroma. She gets to her feet, steps between my knees, and pulls my shirt over my head. Her fingers trace the tattoo on my chest. She slowly follows the tattoo of a twined band and then the raven that is immediately above, but she has always been fascinated by the wings. She forces me to lay back and straddles me as she draws over the moon and sun tattoo on my abdomen. Although I have many more, she really enjoys these.

I grab her waist as she comes in for a kiss, her touch is so pleasurable to me. I give her the reins. I could just hold her; I've missed being close to her. As she starts to rock and the kisses become more intricate, I become hard for her. I flip her over after I rip the towel off of her and climb on top of her. As she moans, I begin kissing her neck and work my way down. When I find her sensitive spot, she bites the corner of the pillow while clinging to the covers.

I feel her legs stiffen; she's ready. She screams out my name as she releases. She breathes heavily. I kiss her as her hands find a way down to my boxers, she tugs at them, and I pull them down. I enter her, and she lets out another moan. She is seductive. Any recollection of what we have gone through is erased when I am with her. I cherish her. Within minutes, we come undone and fall to our own pillows. I grab her in my arms. "I love you."

"I love you," she says, kissing me. We lay there for a little while, then get dressed.

"I'm going to make sure the coast is clear," she says. She walks out and, within seconds, is back, telling me I can come out. We head to the living room, and Brie and Logan join us. We all sit down and start watching a movie while I order food. We are all starving. In forty minutes, our food is here, and Logan goes down and gets it.

As we finish eating, there is a knock at the door. "Raven, open up!" Jamie yells.

"For crying out loud." She rolls her eyes. She quickly pulls her hair into a bun and asks Brie for her hair tie. She's going into full no humanity, Raven. This should be fun to watch. She opens the door. "What do you want?" She asks him.

I sit there and can't help but laugh. "I've been calling you all fucking day. Where the hell have you been?" He shouts at her. I clench my jaw. I wouldn't say I like his attitude toward her. Raven, being Raven, starts laughing.

"I don't have to answer you, plus I'm busy, go home and stop acting like a lost little puppy. It's not a good look on you."

He pushes the door open and looks at Logan and me. "Of course, you're with him." He scowls.

"Are you envious that she chose me over you to be her playmate?" I speak up. "Don't get the dog all mad," Logan says, trying not to laugh.

"Do you know anything about wolves?" He tries to warn us. "I know not to pet one." Raven sarcastically says as she sits on the arm of the couch.

He steps toward her, and I'm quick, standing in front of her. "Of course. Here comes the boyfriend to the rescue." He tries to taunt me, but it's laughable at this point.

Raven moves toward Brie and Logan. Leaving just me and Jamie. "I knew you two found your way back to each other. I tried to tell the pack, but they wouldn't listen." He pulls out his gun and points it straight at my chest. "I'm on strict orders to kill you if you two were back together. Say goodbye."

"Goodbye," Raven says with no emotion.

" Disrumpum,"

I hear her say, and his head snaps. She stands there looking down at Jamie's limp body, she looks at me, and I open my arms for my girl to come to me, and she does just that and holds on tight. We have a lot to explain now.

This night keeps going; it doesn't seem to end. Raven calls Lia and tells her to come over right away. When she arrives, she looks down to see Jamie's dead body on the floor.

"What happened?" Lia asks us, shaking her head. "He tried to kill Clay. I had no choice," Raven says nonchalantly. She really doesn't care about others. I stand there, holding my internal laughter.

"It's okay, honey. Boys, clean this up." She orders Logan and me. "We will get through this." She says with a sigh.

Logan and I pick up the Lycan's body and bring it down to the tunnels, disposing of it in the woods near campus. "Will this ever end?" Logan asks.

"Why are you getting tired?" I say, trying to laugh to lighten up the mood.

"No, but how much longer until Raven breaks and wants nothing to do with any of us? She's stubborn. You know that she can easily turn her emotions off at any time. You saw what she did upstairs just now. What happens if that's what's to come?" He asks me. He is serious and telling the truth. I look up at the dark sky and hope for the best.

"We won't let it come to that," I assure him. I pat his back, and we walk back to the girls. Once inside, I look around and see that Raven is not there. "Where is she?" I ask calmly.

But Lia and Brie look away. "Where is she?" I yell at them. "She left," Brie says, hiding behind Logan. I feel a sense of panic wash over me. "She went to meet the Lycans," Lia adds.

"Alone?" I question, my anger filling the room. "Yes," they both say.

"Why would you let her go alone? Are you stupid? Hasn't she been through enough?" I yell, pacing back and forth.

Breath Clay Breath, I need to control my anger before I do something stupid.

"She can handle this," Lia states. "She's strong and capable," she adds. "I know she can, but she shouldn't have to," I growl. "Where is she meeting them?"

"The manor," Brie says timidly. "Then let's go now!" I bark at them.

I reach into my pocket to get my keys, but she already has them. I rush down to the campus after leaving the apartment and discover that my car is gone, confirming my suspicion that my obstinate girlfriend stole my car.

Great! This is what my life has become.

Pick me up at the campus parking lot, side of the road. I send a text to Logan.

As I wait on the side of the road, I can't help but feel frustrated and angry with my girlfriend. As Logan pulls up in his car, I climb in and try to shake off the negative emotions.
