The remainder of the weekend passes quickly, and I am awakened by the sound of my alarm. I emit a groan. I would prefer not to get out of bed. Clay won't let me get out of bed even after I turn the obnoxious device off. "Just a little longer," he says, his eyes still closed.

"I can't; I need to get ready for class." I kiss his cheek. I walk into the bathroom and hop in the shower. As I'm rinsing my body off, Clay jumps in. "Oh no, I don't have time for that," I say to him.

"Who knew you had such a dirty mind? I was thinking about preserving water," He says with a wicked smile. I roll my eyes and get out; he can shower alone. Before I can leave, he pulls me back and kisses me, saying, "Good morning." He smiles, and I melt. I smile at him as I step out.

As I do my makeup, he walks out holding a towel close to his waist. I can't help but admire this magnificent creature, with all the perfect tattoos. When he coughs, he snaps me out of my reverie. I look up to see that he has that silly grin on his face, one eyebrow raised, those wonderful eyes, and those dimples; I feel hot, so I turn away and carry on with what I was doing. My phone goes off.

Logan and I are downstairs waiting. The boys have some plans. The text reads.

Okay, be down in a minute.

"Logan and Brie are downstairs waiting for us," I tell Clay, looking at him and hoping he is dressed. "Okay." He says.

I grab my bag off my desk and see that he is wearing that damn black leather jacket. He looks gorgeous. He grabs my hand and leads me out the door; just like she said, they were standing there with coffee.

"Thank you!" I exclaim, "You don't understand how much I need this."

"So I was thinking maybe for the next little while, we should all ride together," Logan suggests. "I agree." Clay chimes in. "My car, it is."

"What? Why your car?" Logan wines. "Because mine's nice, now get it in." He demands.

I climb into the back with Brie. I centre myself as I lean up against the window. I grab Clay's hand as he places it over the headrest of his seat. As we pull up, Clay says he has some ideas he wants to discuss.

"After class, I'll meet you, Brie, while Logan meets Raven, and we will walk you to your next class."

"And we will rotate throughout the day," Logan adds. They both look back at us, instructing us like we are five year olds.

"That way, neither of you are alone," Clay says. "Seriously." I pout. I cross my arms and roll my eyes.

"Yes!" His tone is startling.

"Fine, which one of you is going to be my bodyguard this morning?" I say rudely.

"Me." Clay pipes up. I roll my eyes. "Great!" He lets me out of the back and says, "Stop being so stubborn!"

"I'll see you at lunch," I say as I hug Brie. She nods, and Clay takes my hand.

This is the first time Clay and I have been out together as a couple. All the girls look at us and give us strange looks, but Clay doesn't seem to notice. We move across the courtyard hand in hand. Girls are staring at us from every angle, and I can see Sloane staring at us coldly.

"Someone's watching us," I whisper. Clay looks around and laughs. He paces himself from behind me and wraps his arms around my waist as he kisses my neck.

"Let her stare. You're mine, no one else." He kisses my cheek. We reach the building, and he pulls me in.

"Logan will meet you here after class, I love you," He says.

"Okay, I love you." He kisses me, not caring who watches.

I enter my business class and take my seat next to Zack. "Hey!"

"Hey, how was the rest of your weekend?" He asks.

"Oh, you know, just chilled, you?" Lying so he doesn't go all werewolf on anybody.

"I bumped into Serenity, the girl from our vamp sociology class, on my way home the other day. We hung out for a bit. I asked her out!" He says all happy.

"Well?" I ask, eagerness in my voice. "I'm taking her to dinner tonight." His eyes say it all.

"Awe, Zack, I'm so happy for you."

"Thanks!"

Professor Scott is a fantastic teacher; we've learned so much this semester, and it's incredible.

Before I know it, class is over. I head out and see Logan standing there. "Hey, Ray!"

"Hi." It's quiet as we walk; Logan turns to me once we approach my next class.

"I don't know what you did, but I'm happy Clay found you. He loves you, he might not be good at showing it, but he does." Logan tells me. I smile at him.

"I love him too. Thanks again, Logan." I give him a quick hug. I stop on the step and turn around. "Logan?"

"What's up?" He turns to face me.

"Since you were children, Clay has been your best friend. Could he be playing a part in his reputation, his game, or something else by acting this way toward me?"

Logan walks toward me and looks me straight in the eye. "If this were one of Clay's games, he wouldn't say he loves you and definitely wouldn't have done what he did to Alec and Alessandro. Ray, you're the only girl who has made him smile, and I mean truly smile. He is happy, and it's been a very long time since I've seen this side of him. He loves you, don't doubt that."

"Thanks, Logan." He nods his head and walks toward his class.

The time flies by, and it's time to meet Clay; I get nervous. I've got butterflies like a stupid little schoolgirl.

What has this man done to me?

As soon as I step outside, I notice him leaning on the stair railing. I can't help but notice that all the girls are gazing at him, how could they not be? He's sexy. His smile, which lights up the entire damn world when he looks up from the ground, is contagious.

"Hey baby," He says, pulling me close to him, "I've missed you." He kisses me, and I let him take my breath away. "What's wrong?" He asks me.

"Nothing," I say, looking down. I feel jealous of what others have said; also heartbroken by their words.

"Ray, you can't fool me. What's wrong?" He cups my face.

"All morning, all I've heard from random people whispering behind my back is that you shouldn't be with me." I sigh; he pulls me back to his chest and kisses my hair.

"They don't know anything about us. They have no clue what I feel for you or how you make me feel. They don't know what they're talking about," He says calmly. "They're just jealous."

He gives me a gentle kiss while placing his hands on my cheeks. He is right; I melt into him. They don't know anything about us, and after that, the world vanishes with his kisses.
