The view is breathtaking. It's magnificent to see the rows of snow-covered trees as we pass them on the road. We ascend the gravel road by car. I gaze out at the lovely scenery. I spot the cabin as we round the bend. It has a wraparound terrace, glass windows all around, and is extremely large. After Clay has parked directly behind Logan, we enter with all of our things. The interior is just as impressive, with high ceilings, a stone fireplace, and rustic wooden furniture.

"Wow, this is amazing!" I look around at this beautiful cabin, which looks like a five-star resort. A fire blazes in the living room to warm it up. It's beautiful.

"Yeah, it's alright," Clay says. "Our room is this way. Logan and Brie are upstairs." We walk past the living room, which has a floor-to-ceiling window. The bedroom is beautiful, with a king size bed, its own bathroom, and sliding doors to the wrap-around deck. The view of the frozen water is breathtaking. Clay's fingertips grip my hips, and he pulls me back and holds me as I watch the water. He kisses my head and tells me to relax, so I do just that.

"This is beautiful; I can't imagine what it looks like in the summer," I tell him. He smiles and kisses me, saying, "Well, I guess you will have to come back here with me to see."

After dinner, we all clean up and then head to the living room. The boys ask what we want to watch; surprisingly, the internet connection here is pretty great, so we can watch Netflix.

"NINE, NINE!" Brie and I both shout. We settle in on the couch, happy to have a night in with our favourite show.

"What the hell is that?" Clay questions. We explain that it's a reference to Brooklyn Nine-Nine, but Clay just shakes his head and says he's never heard of it. "Are you serious?" Brie looks like she's been offended. "It's one of the funniest TV shows of all time!" I say excitedly.

He shakes his head, again. These guys hate what we like, but they always join in regardless. "Fine, we'll just have to introduce you to the magic of it," Brie says with a smile.

The boys eventually get used to the show, and by Wednesday night, we had finished watching half of the seasons.

My eyes flutter open, and I turn over, noticing Clay standing on the deck as I awaken on Thursday. I embrace him with my arms from behind. "Morning!"

"Morning, babe," he says, turning around to face me. "How did you sleep?" But before I can answer, Brie shouts, "Breakfast!" from the kitchen.

"Mom's calling!" Clay laughs as he kisses me. As we turn to walk back in, I get a weird feeling. "You coming?"

"Um, yeah, give me a second. I need to use the bathroom." I lie. Once he leaves the room, I walk back out and search the area; I swear it felt like someone was watching us.

Breathe, Raven; it's just your mind playing tricks.

You know damn well it's not. Get ready to fight Raven. The voice echoes in my head. I look again and head inside; a shiver runs up my spine.

The day passes quickly. According to Brie, they wanted to have a lavish supper to make up for the failure of my birthday celebration. I enter the room to find Clay exiting the shower, and my attention is drawn to his figure. It's one of my weaknesses. I have to stop thinking about him before something happens. "Brie, how fancy are we talking here?" I yell.

"I already put your dress and your shoes on the bed," she shouts back. A black halter dress that's form-fitting and black pumps. I look over at Clay, and he has dress pants on. This is way too fancy. As Clay finishes getting dressed, I head into the shower and take my sweet time. Once my hair and make-up are done, I head to the bed to get dressed. I can hear shuffling outside the door, and then Brie walks in.

"You look magnificent!" She's all happy, for a reason I'm not sure of. "Thank you." I look at her with my eyebrow raised, questioning what was about to happen.

"Ready?" She asks, grabbing my hand and pulling me out the door. "Ready for what?" I ask, trying to keep up with her pace.

"You'll see!" She has a massive grin on her face. Logan is standing in the dining room when she opens the door, and when she does, candles illuminate the hallway leading there. Logan is dressed elegantly. Clay greets me as I turn to face the room. He is quite handsome. I enjoy the way he is looking right now. Taking my hands, he steps forward.

"Raven," he starts, "I can't imagine life without your love. Even though forever isn't long enough, this love between us is only getting stronger, and I don't want to wait any longer, so I'm asking." He gets down on one knee and says, "Be mine forever."

I have no words; I would love to marry him, but not now. I'm too young for that, why can't we just be us for now?

"No," I say, turning and running out the door. As I run, the chilly air strikes my lungs. I don't know where I'm headed, but I need time. My feet are killing me in these shoes, so I slow down and start to walk after making sure no one is watching. I exhale again as I come to the realisation that I ought to have stayed and spoken to Clay about this. I feel like such a jerk for leaving in that manner. I turn around and return to the cabin. When that feeling strikes me once more, I can see that the porch lights are on, so I make a run for it. As I get closer, something grabs hold of me. I feel something being injected into me as the person's grip tightens around my arm.

"CLAY!!!!" I scream as loud as I can, and then everything goes black.
