I watch as her hips move to the music. I can't believe she is all mine. I want to be with her and only her. It's crazy, but it's true. She came and set me free, making me see what I left behind—the ripper everyone feared. I was looking for a sign when she walked into my life. She showed me what I was missing inside. The music blares, and I'm lost as I watch her move. I look over for a split second to see Sloane walking toward me. I hand my beer to Logan and walk away, heading to my girl.
With my hands on her waist, I feel the shivers spread throughout her body. I relinquish control as we dance to the music. I don't care who is staring as I turn her to face me and kiss her. While grinning, she bites her lower lip. I want to take her upstairs so I can be alone with her. But I do recall that we need to tread carefully. As soon as the next song begins, Brie reaches for her.
"Sorry." She mouths. "It's okay." I laugh and walk away. I head back to Logan, and he hands me back my beer. Taking a sip, he asks me, "I know you said it before, but you really love her, don't you?"
With my eyes on her, I smile. "I think so."
⁂
I realise Raven is gone as Logan, myself, and others are conversing. I begin to worry and search around for her. I'm relieved when I see her leave the restroom.
"Hey, sorry, Sloane purposely spilled her drink on me. She said it was an accident. I highly doubt that. I just needed to clean it up." She tells me.
I walk up to her and whisper. "I'm done with this party. Let's call it a night."
She nods, and I intertwine my fingers with hers and head upstairs. I hear that annoying voice as we make our way up the stairs.
"Seriously, Clay?" Sloane squeaks.
Raven rolls her eyes and turns to face her. "Can't you go bother someone else?" She tells her.
"Ugh, Clay, you want someone like her. I hate her." Sloane yells.
Before I can say anything, Raven responds. "I'd rather be hated than fake like you, Barbie. So I suggest you walk away." I can't help but laugh and kiss my girl on the head.
Sloane storms off, and Raven looks at me and says, "Am I going to have to deal with her all the time? Because I'm telling you now, Clay, I will walk away. I'm not going to fight her for you."
"You won't have to. No matter what, you're the one I want—not her, not anyone, just you." I assure her. We head to my bedroom, and I lock the door behind me. I take off my chain and place it on my dresser. I open a drawer, take one of my shirts out, and hand it to her.
"Turn around." She does, and I unzip her outfit. It slides down her shoulders and down her body. She steps out of it and slips into my shirt.
She approaches me while I'm taking off my shirt, caresses my chest with her fingertips, and begins tracing the angel wings tattoo on my pecks. I struggle mightily to resist fucking her, but I don't hesitate to restrain myself from kissing her. I lift her to the bed with my hands on her ass.
Laying her down, I kiss her neck. Trailing down to her collarbone, I slowly lift the shirt and kiss her stomach. I slip one finger under her panties as I kiss her thighs. She's all mine; even though she isn't ready for sex, that doesn't mean I can't please her.
Her back arches as my tongue finds her spot. Within minutes, she releases. I make my way back up to her and kiss her. I slip out of my jeans and pull her under the covers with me. Holding her close, I kiss her hair.
"Ray?"
"Yes." She replies as her hand rubs up and down my side.
"I want you to know that I would fall apart without you. I'm in love with you." I say quietly. She looks at me for more answers. She props herself up on my stomach, leaning her chin on her arms. "It's real and true. Everything I just stated is genuine and meant from the bottom of my heart." I lean back and stare at her. "I want every last bit of myself to belong to you. When you hold me, nothing matters." I grin. "I love you."
There, I said it, and I'm hoping she agrees. Her hand is on my cheek as I glance at her. I kiss her palm.
"I love you, Clay." She says. I lean in and kiss her. Getting lost in our bubble. She's everything I need and more. She's my happiness.
As we pull away, I can't help but feel grateful for having her in my life. The way she looks at me with such warmth and adoration makes me feel like I'm the luckiest person in the world. Her love is my anchor, grounding me in the midst of life's storms. I never knew that love could feel this way, so all-encompassing and powerful. Every moment with her is a gift, and I cherish it with all my heart.
