As I drive, I keep my hand on her thigh and am overcome with thoughts of everything we have been through. It's a bittersweet feeling, knowing that we have come so far together but also realising how much we have had to overcome. I am grateful for her presence in my life and the love that we share. As we continue down the road, I am reminded of the journey we have yet to embark on and the adventures that await us.

After today, I don't care if I'm selfish or not because so much has happened in the past several months; I'm never letting her go. I've always been fearless; nothing has ever frightened me, but the idea of losing her terrifies me to my very core. Now that we can begin our lives together as we choose, she will soon become my wife. Everything about this girl appeals to me. The fearless girl and the unconditionally loving girl. The girl who stops my universe in its tracks.

I can't imagine spending a day without her by my side, and I know that she feels the same way. We've been through so much together, and every obstacle we've faced has only made us stronger. I know that we'll be able to conquer anything that comes our way. With her by my side, I feel like I can take on the world.

I can't recall a time without her as I turn to see her seated in the passenger seat, leaning against the window. She seemed to awaken me from a sleep I wasn't even aware I was in when she first entered my life. I made a commitment to her that I would change for the better, but it was really her that made me a better person.

Even the smallest moments with her feel like magic, and I find myself constantly falling deeper in love with her. Sometimes I wonder how I got so lucky to have someone like her in my life. She's my best friend, my partner in crime, and the love of my life all rolled into one. I can't wait to see what the future holds for us, but I know that as long as we're together, we can conquer anything.

We arrive at her childhood home, and as the car sits there parked, she looks over at me and smiles. "That damn smile!" I tell her, leaning toward her.

"That damn jacket." She responds, grabbing the collar and pulling me closer. I kiss her hard, and she lets me take control.

Despite my brave words and confident demeanour, a small seed of fear and terror gnaws at the back of my mind. What if something were to happen to her? What if we were separated by circumstances beyond our control? The thought alone is enough to send shivers down my spine. But I push those fears aside, determined to enjoy the present and hopeful for the future. As I said, I will be selfish and live my life with the girl I love beside me because something in me is telling me this isn't the end, it's just the beginning.

~~~~~The Queen~~~~~
"My Queen, the Lycans have returned."
I stare out the window of my hideaway and ask, "Did they bring the girl?" My heart races with anticipation.
"No, my queen. They lost the fight with her," The man sighs, "I suggest we run before she finds out what we have planned. She's a monster." The man quivers in fear.
"I don't run from monsters, they run from me," I turn to face this useless vampire. As lightning crackles in the sky, I move forward. I'm going to get this girl here one way or another. She is the person described in the prophecy, and only she has the power to awaken the evil that must arise. I'll do whatever it takes to make her come with me.
"Bring me her lover!" I shout at him.
"But, my queen, taking him will only cause her to suffer nothing more." He fights with me. "Silence!" I yell, "I will not be questioned. Bring him to me now! Her suffering will be my victory." I laugh as the rain hits harder and the thunder claps louder. My heart races with excitement as I anticipate the arrival of my prize. I know that I must act quickly before anyone else discovers what I have planned. The power that comes with this capture is intoxicating, and I relish in the thought of the fear that will be instilled in those who dare to oppose me. The rain continues to pour down, but I do not care. I am a force to be reckoned with, and nothing can stand in my way.I will get what I want.
"Remember, love makes people do foolish things." I smile at him. He looks at me with a mix of fear and admiration, knowing that I am not one to be underestimated.
I shall destroy her happiness if it means getting what I want!
