I swear this girl will be the death of me. Her out there alone terrifies me. After what Brie told us what happened, Raven shouldn't have gone off on her own. How can I protect her when she gets so into her own head and does things without thinking.

I look up to see her walking toward me. I drop my phone as my heart races fast and run toward her. "I'm fine," she says.

Pulling her in close, I restrain myself from yelling at her for making me feel so terrified. I hold her close as we approach the door. Brie walks over as we enter the house. "What happened?" Fear escapes her eyes.

"Lovell's other son," is all Raven says. She sits down and puts her bloody hands on her face. "They're watching us." She looks up. "He followed me into the woods. He knew where I was."

My phone goes off, and I look at the screen. "It's my dad," I say as I walk away, excusing myself as I leave the room. "Hello?" I say into the receiver.

"Clay, all vamps are on their way to our manor for protection, I've also called Mr. Michaels and Mrs. Danielson to join us. You and your friends, including Lia, are to join us."

"We'll be fine," I say. I'm sick and tired of him treating me as if I'm still five. "Clay, this isn't an invitation. It's an order. You're all in danger, including Raven. She has far more to lose than any of us." He snaps at me.

"Fine." I hate being told what to do. I hang up and head back to the living room, I look at everyone, annoyance on my face, and say, "Change of plans. Pack your bags and head to Cladwell Manor. All vamps and their families are heading there, including Mr. Michaels and Mrs. Danielson. Dad's orders."

"Is he serious?" Logan questions me as I see the anger in his eyes. "Unfortunately, yes." I walk into the kitchen, and Logan follows. "Take Lia with you, Ray needs to shower before she goes anywhere. I don't need her showing up covered in blood and scaring everyone,"

He puts his hand on my shoulder and says, "We will fight side by side. Everything will be okay."

I nod as he leaves. Moments later, I hear Logan say he has all the bags and is leaving, telling Brie and Lia to go with him. "Alright ladies, let's go," He smiles at them. They both hug Raven and walk out with Logan, leaving Ray and me alone.

I turn to face the window and watch as the sun starts to set. I hear Raven walk upstairs and run the shower. I make my way up and stand at the bathroom door. "Ray?"

"Yeah!" she shouts over the water. I pause, no words come out. I can't control what she does. All I can do is try to protect her from the Lycans.

"Clay?" She says, sticking her head out of the shower. "Yeah, sorry. What I was going to say was, I don't want you alone. Not after everything that has happened," I plead with her.

She steps out of the shower and wraps a towel around herself. I stop her from leaving the bathroom. "I mean it, no more stupid, spontaneous ideas that you've got in that head of yours."

"But stupid is so much more fun," she smirks. I look at her, my eyes flash, and she looks at me in defeat. "Fine," She rolls her eyes. She gets dressed as I gather a few more things into our already packed bags. Raven puts on a spring dress as April is just around the corner and the weather is getting nicer. She throws on her leather jacket and smiles. I put the bags in the car as Raven does a spell to seal the house.

"There, no one can get in." She looks at me. I back her up against the car and cup her cheeks, saying, "I love you."

"I love you," She wraps her arms around my neck and kisses me. She pulls back and says, "Let's go." I nod, opening the door for her. Jumping in, I start the car and head to the manor.

As we drive, Raven leans her head against the window, lost in thought. I reach over and take her hand, giving it a reassuring squeeze. "Are you okay?" I ask, concern lacing my voice. She looks at me, a small smile on her lips. "Yeah, I'm just thinking about everything that's happened," she replies. "I never thought I'd be living in a world where magic and Lycans were real." I nod, understanding her sentiment.

"It's a lot to take in, we just have to get past this one obstacle, and life should go back to normal." I say, my eyes scanning the passing scenery. The world looks the same, but everything has changed. Raven nods in agreement, her gaze returning to the window. She remains silent, lost in thought.
