"I'm not forgetting but I forgive..."

April 28th, 1977
Lily stormed into the girls dormitory with tears in her eyes. On her hand there was the daily prophet. Electra slowly turned to face her friend. She had been sleeping and just now she had waken up because of the loud closing of the door.
"Three Muggle families were killed..." Lily whispered in between her sobs. Mary stood up from her bed and moved next to her. Both girls were coming from Muggle families and Electra was feeling terrible for not being able to share their fears. She was covered. She had the choice. Her family wasn't threatened due to their beliefs and it was hers choice whether she would be killed or not. It wasn't the same for her two friends and she couldn't help but feel guilty about it.
"Did... Did you know any of them?" She asked softly. Lily shook her head and Electra felr immediately sorry for asking that.
"These" she pointed to the family in the second picture "used to be my neighbors. The moved out last year." Mary hugged her and Electra moved towards the two girls to join their hug.
"Please promise me that you're going to take care... I can't lose you too." Lily said and the two girls nodded. It was a promise that could easily be broken. How could they do that? How could the be sure that they would survive? They were only moments before the was would start.
Electra would join the Order. She had made that promise to herself when Pers was still alive. She could still feel him. She could still tell what he would say at situations like this. He would be really sad for what had happened. He would blame himself for not being able to save them. That would fill him with more and more passion and excitement to fight. To defend those people's lives. She wanted to be able to do that too. He dream of wanting to be a wandmaker or a Quidditch player had came second. All she wanted now was justice. Justice for those innocent people.
The door opened and James walked in with Sirius following. At the sight of the three girls hugging eachother in a ball they understood that something was wrong. Electra raised her glance, her eyes were dry. She couldn't cry for those people, and that was one more reason that the feeling of guilt wouldn't go away. Sirius opened his arms and she went to hug him after making sure that her two friends were on James' hug. She rested her head on his chest and he closed his arms protectively around her.
"Three more Muggle families has been killed." Mary said. James closed his eyes and lowered his head. Sirius cursed and then caressed Electra's hair.
Lily was crying on James' shoulder and Mary stepped away from his hug. "I'm going to take a walk..." And then she exited living the four teens inside the room.
"They could be my parents..." Lily said. The three teens didn't know what to say. What could they say. James' family could be as well but they would be later on. Sirius was wishing to be his family but that was a science fiction story. His family wasn't dying any time soon.
Eventually the answer came from James. "Lily, we're going through dark times. I'm not going to say that everything is going to be fine. Nothing will be. But we must try to look at the bright side. There's always something good. It's just hidden."
Lily looked at James. He was the boy who she had been hating for years. The boy she had rejected so many times. The boy who had been annoying Severus just to get her attention. The boy whose name was known all over the school due to his pranks. The boy who had matured just to be in her good shoes. The boy she eventually started to like. A loving friend, an amazing prankster, always ready to smile and cheer everyone up. And that boy was now holding her inside his arms speaking the truth. He hadn't make a joke. He hadn't reassure her about the future but his words were the most calming thing someone could ever tell her at this point.
