"Remember what I'm saying. You're different and you should be proud of that."

August 31th, 1971

"And as we said, no talking to people from other houses. But you can understand of course. You don't want to end up making relationships with mudbloods and half-bloods and blood traitors."

The Star family was gathered around the dinner table for the last time this year since the two older kids were going to visit them again at the end of the 1st year. Family's philosophy. They should not leave Hogwarts because most of the kids in Slytherin -which was going to be their house- weren't leaving for Christmas Holidays.

Jason Star was sitting at the top of the table and his frozen eyes were scanning each one of the family members. He was the type of person who would not speak unless he was forced to. Cassandra was trying to get her daughter's attention but with no success since she was trying to find the required appetite to eat what was served but unfortunately she had other things on her mind. Pers and Orph despite their age gap they were joking with their father's expression but not too loud and not so visibly since the second one was going to pay for the consequences.

"What's wrong Electra?" Jason spoke for the first time cutting off his wife's monologue. The girl stopped the eye contact with her food in the plate and raised her glance to see her father.

"What if they don't like me?"

"Then it's going to be their loss. You don't need them anyway." Really helpful, El thought. "If I am correct it's time for Walburga's son to go to Hogwarts as well."

Cassandra took her eyes off her daughter and flashed a smile to her husband "Right! Such a same we don't live closer. My sweet friend Walburga... Her son is definitely a Slytherin. Just like the rest of his family."

"Problem solved then. Find him and befriend him." Jason said to his daughter and the girl just shook her head in agreement. How was she going to find him just by the name of his mother was another question. And then silence spread all over the table apart from the attempts of the two boys not to laugh. As soon as the dinner was finished the plates flew towards the sink where a house elf was waiting patiently cleaning up the cooking bench.

Electra couldn't sleep. She was twisting around her bed desperately trying to find the right position for her to sleep. But no matter how hard she was trying to fall asleep something was keeping her awake. She stood up and looked outside her window hoping that the stars would calm her. All she wanted was to feel calm. Ever since that wand had chosen her she wasn't in peace. Ollivander's words were repeatedly coming in her mind. She was different. Nobody is the same, but at least she should have some things in common with her family. Her parents believed that animals were useless and only owls worthed something but just because they were delivering letters. The house elves according to them were just servants with no other meaning in life than serving their masters. And then there were their beliefs about blood supremacy. She felt terrible that she was so different on these aspects with her parents. She really hoped that her wand would make her feel closer to them, that it would prove her thoughts wrong. Well it didn't...

She looked up in the sky only to see heavy clouds covering her only companions during nights. Stars. She felt connected to them, maybe because of her last name, maybe because of their stories which she loved so much to hear, because of the belief that they were more than stars, they were souls. She took a breath and opened her door heading towards the living room hoping that after she saw the portraits of her ancestors on the walls she would feel closer to them but she was stopped from laughters coming from Orpheus bedroom.

She stepped closer and saw a blue light under the door, she opened the door and faced her two brothers sitting on the bed laughing with eachother.

"We've been waiting for you El. Why did it take you so long?" the little boy with blonde hair said. the other one looked questioningly their sister trying to understand what had gotten into her. "Did you forget about our little tradition?"

Electra smiled at her brother's words and went and sat between the two boys on the bed. "How could I forget?" She said. For the past two years they were gathering the night before September 1st on Perseus room and spending almost the whole night there laughing and joking. Only the house elf knew about their meetings but she couldn't tell anyone since Pers and El were going to make the poor creature's life a mess due to heir pranks. "Okay maybe I forgot about it." she eventually admitted lifting her hands to the air like she was surrending.

"So, tell us about your feelings El. How do you imagine your first day in Hogwarts?" Orpheus asked lying back on his bed but still with his eyes locked on his sister.

"Well I'll be joining our brother here on his house, Slytherin, and then I don't know actually. Hopefully I'll have met someone on the train who will be in the same house as me and in my age too." she replied and slowly she began to calm down. Maybe she had her differences with her parents but she was the same with her brothers. Since Pers was a Slytherin she was going to be one as well. The wands aren't going to affect your life. "And then hopefully I'll get to explore the castle! Or if i am too tired I will go to sleep early, meet the girls in my dorm and prepare myself for the first day in class!" She continued speaking and she was so happy just by the idea of finally going that she didn't understand how time flew. Pers was looking at her with a smile on his face, while Orph was asleep.

"Electra, what is your wand made of?" the girl's smile disappeared from her face. "I know that you didn't tell the truth that day. Tell me!" Her brother said and looked at her reassuringly.

"Holly with unicorn hair core." she said and lowered her head.

Hie face lightened and a huge grin was formed. "You can't see it now. But one day you'll be really happy about it. You'll be really happy that this was the wand which choose you. Remember what I'm saying. You're different and you should be proud of that."
