Saying that the trick wasn't a success would be a lie. But it didn't work out as they had planned as well. The potion's smoke painted the Slytherins's hair red with shades of gold but it lasted longer than expected. The match had been won from Gryffindor and the five kids were in the common room celebrating their victory when McGonagal appeared and asked for Sirius, James and Electra.

According to her Slughorn had informed her about the accident of the first day on potion's class and by asking some Slytherin students who immediately told her about El's apperance on their team's tower, she concluded easily on who was behind this. And then she remembered Sirius's firework which probably was casted to distract her from seeing James's broomstick which was not completely covered with the invisibility cloak. To the children's question how was she so sure that was James she casually replied that not everyone could make such an excellent dive from the height of the tower. And she would have put in detention just the three of them if it wasn't for Remus and Peter who insisted that they had taken part as well and that should be punished. And there they were.

October 31th, 1971

"It was a success I don't care what you're all saying. And by the way, El we never thanked you for completely destroying the already destoyed potion." James said as he put off his glasses and rested his head on his hands.

The paint lasted longer than expecting causing all of the students who had attended the match to wander around the corridors of the house for about two weeks with red and golden hair. Electra felt quite sorry for them due to their humiliation but she was really proud of herself.

"Well I want to remind you that we lost fifty points." Remus said trying to convince them that the plan wasn't succesful but that wasn't leading him anywhere. They were convinced that what they had done was absolutely terrific. "And no James, it wasn't a success just because Lily noticed you!" he immidiately added seeing that James was about to speak and knowing what was going to say he cut him off.

"Remus, don't be like that! This was the rise! Our rise!" Sirius said dramatically like he was giving a speech.

"Then maybe we need a name." El said taking her eyes off her essay that they were supposed to write during their time in there.

"We're the Marauders! This is our rise, the rise of the Marauders. We're short of a family now." he added seeing the smile on his friend face. And the truth is that Sirius really wanted to consider them, all of them his family. To his surprise no one said anything about the name he had chosen for the group.

"Sirius Black, considering you as my brother is like my second dream coming true, the first one is clearly making Evans to like me back." James said jokingly but they all knew that he meant every word that he had just said.

El walked towards the boy with long black hair and hugged him with a huge smile on her face. "I hope you mean it." and then she pulled back "Or else I'll have your hair painted till the end of school." She needed them as a family as much as Sirius, each one of them for different reasons. She wanted to feel like she was belonging to a family in which she could be herself and be with people who had lots in common with her. And Sirius wanted to feel like he WAS part of a family, because he clearly didn't feel like a member in his own. He wanted to feel all the love that each member family give to eachother, not caring if he would take the same love back because he was sure of the others' love.

"So this our rise!" And it was a rise. Ever since the news were out two days ago everyone, even from the older classes and other houses were shaking their hands or smiling to them on the corridors. And not only Gryffindors but Ravenclows, Hufflepuffs and Slytherins as well. They were considering them as some of the coolest people on Hogwarts and almost immediately their popularity rised. James was excited since according to him Lily will have been talking about him a lot and with every chance given he was passing next to her smiling at her hoping that she'll return the smile.

"Guys, you know that you never told us about how we get just one day of detention." Peter asked and Remus turned with the same question on his mind to face them.

"Well McGonagall said that we wouldn't be punished if it wasn't for Electra's potion. She was amazed by my flying across the field to the top of the tower and she's keeping the position of chaser for me when Brown graduates. that makes us... third year. Yes that's it, in two years from now i'll be playing as a chaser."

"And she said that my spell was excellent casted and that if she was our professor in Charms she would have given me points but unfortunately she isn't."

"And techinaclly that's how-

"-we lost 25 points." the two boys said completing each others' sentences

"the other 25 and the detention is thanks to our friend Electra from here."

"Your friend Electra isn't going to let you copy her essay if you two don't stop..." the girl replied sarcastically and Sirius and James stopped causing Remus and Peter busting into laughter.

The five friends had finished their essay and were sitting in the classroom visibly tired and bored. James was half asleep half awake, Remus was wandering around the classroom discovering something new everytime he was passing from a different place, Peter was sitting on his chair being in the middle of an instense eye contact with the ceiling and Sirius was lying on top of the desk with his head not touching its wooden surface and hanging causing him to watch everything upside down. Electra stood up and decided to look for a mirror or any other object shiny enough so she could she her reflection. She felt the need to entertain herself and since there were not many things she could use she decided to change her exterior for a while. Maybe it was about time to keep it no longer a secret. These boys had loved her for who she was not knowing her talent, so she decided that it was about time.

"What do you think is served on the great hall?" Peter asked looking bored at the ceiling trying to find something interesting to think.

"I guess we won't learn untill next year." Sirius replied and then spotted his friend walking towards the exit of the room. "What are you doing Star?"

"I'll be back in a minute!" she replied and disappeared something that made the rest of the group look at eachother.

"Come on guys, bets I'm hearing, where is is off to?" James suddenly found himself in reality and spoke with loud voice and then he added probably to himself "where are my glasses?"

"One gallon, she's going to get a book or something" Remus said.

"One gallon, she's going nowhere, she's just wandering around the castle." James said turning to look at his friends just to make sure that they hadn't hid his glasses.

"Maybe she's off to discover a secret room and she doesn't want us to find out!" Sirius said and stood up walking towards the door "Two gallons on that, that's definitely something she is capable of."

"Or maybe she's going to the girl's bathroom? Calm down Black... One gallon to that." Peter said stopping Sirius from leaving too.

Electra came back five minutes later with her hands filled with the Hogwarts's Halloween menu and placed it onto the desk on which the boys gathered around. "James, your glasses." she said and handed them over to him who looked at her as surprised as the rest of the the Mrauders.

"How on earth did you manage to do that?" Peter asked and grabbed a slice of pumpkin pie.

"I have my tricks. And we're really popular now, everyone wanted to help..." the girl said and since her friends were more confused that they were at the begining she magically changed her hair colour making them blond and then she straightened them.

"El, are you an metamorphomagus?" she smiled at Sirius who had just asked her and nodded "Well, blonde looks don't suit you if I can be completely honest." he added and laughed along with the other boys making a high five with James.

"You didn't have to El. Well yes you put as all in detention, and yes you lost 25 points by yourself but, you really didn't have to." Remus said not wasting the chance to remind her in short of a way where she had messed up for all of them.

"I couldn't just let you starve to death. And I owed it to you." She smiled at her friends and then she added "and I was extremely hungry..."
