"You may can tell the future but you can't see the present El."

October 3rd, 1976
"El, is there something you want to tell me?" James whispered to the girl who had just conjured two small yellow birds and now was just staring at them trying to control them so they wouldn't fly to attack anyone.
"Potter." McGonagall said from the other side of the classroom and looked at him raising her eyebrows and forming her lips into the thin line everytime she was annoyed by something or just trying to keep her smile back. But this time was the first case.
"Minnie! You couldn't even hear me from that far."
"Are you speculating that I'm loosing my hearing ability Mr.Potter?" She replied pretty calm as always.
"Minnie you're ageless! There's no way you're losing your hearing." Electra suddenly smiled and replied to their professor. The woman rolled her eyes and walked towards their desk.
"Miss Star I wonder if you're going to believe the same things in twenty years from now."
"Oh we most definitely will! In twenty years from now... 36! Yes I'll send you a letter."
"I'm marking the day Potter. October 3rd 1996. I'll be waiting." She said in low voice as she was passing through their desk and then added with a loud voice. "Unacceptable! Most of you couldn't even conjure a feather! Did you pay the ministry to get an E?"
James and Electra smirked at their professor's comment and exchanged a look. "Tell me, what's wrong?" The boy said and took off his glasses to clean them with his tie. The girl sighed and a bitter smile appeared on her face. "What did he do?"
"No no it's not Sirius. After all I don't care if he likes Diane. That's his problem!" James gave her a knowing look. "Okay... Maybe it's about that too. But not right now." She paused waiting for her friend to say something but he just stood silently waiting for her to explain what was going on. "Tomorrow would be Pers' 19th birthday..."
James looked at her. She took a breath and lowered her head. James fell silent. It was the first time that he actually understood how young Pers was. He wasn't even 19 when he died. Not even 19. It hadn't crossed his mind back then and he could tell that that was exactly what Electra was thinking. For both of them Pers was her older brother. The oldest sibling of the Star family. But he never was the just two years older than them boy. In every conversation he was so mature, his beliefs could be the same as the beliefs of a thirty year old well studied and mature man. The boy caressed her friend's hair who closed her eyes taking another breath. He didn't know what to say to her. He couldn't find the words to.
"It's okay James... It's just sad that the only thing left from him is a picture of when we were really young. I can't see him like I remember him."
"Star. Potter. I know my lecture is really fascinating but not that much in order to keep you here after the lesson has ended." McGonagall's voice sounded from the classroom's front part and both teens raised their glances to meet hers. "You can take the day off tomorrow Electra." They weren't sure if she had heard them, or if she had just understood what was going on but they could tell that her usually strict voice had now a sad and sweet tone.
"But professor! That's inhumane! The poor animals should be treated as living creatures and not as objects. Don't ask me to transform that poor frog in front of me to glass!" A boy with neon green hair said making the whole class turn and look at him.
