"Sometimes you can see some things only through hard times."

December 20th, 1976
The door of the dormitory where the boys were sleeping opened. Sirius entered trying to be as quiet as he could so he transformed to a dog and with light steps he started walking towards his bed.
"Open the light!" A whisper was heard and the lamp next to James' bed opened.
"Well well well..." James said staring at the door of the dormitory not wearing his glasses.
"James how blind are you? He's on the other side of the room." The lamp next to Remus' bed was on with its light falling onto the boy's curls in the colour of honey.
The boy grabbed the glasses from the side table and looked at the direction Remus was pointing at feeling like an idiot because of talking to an empty space. "You better choose your next words really carefully..." He said and Remus looked at him with a questioning look and then he turned to face the black dog who was sitting on his back feet and was looking at them.
"Woof!" he said and started shaking his tail really pleased at what he had just done.
Remus laughed and looked at James who was trying his best to remain serious but ended up laughing as well. The boy turned back to his normal form and walked up to his bed starting getting undressed.
"Did you find anything about the mirror?" Remus asked and brought his knees to his chest resting his back on the bed's top.
The long haired boy brought his hand to his face indicating that he felt guilty for forgetting it. "I completely forgot. Diane came and-"
"Got it! You don't have to continue" Remus said nodding him to stop. Both he and James had heard the same thing various of times from Sirius. Sometimes it was about an assignment, other times it was about a detention, some other times about planning a prank now it was about the mirror. But for James the worst part was when the boy was forgetting about Quidditch practices.
"Just tell me that Minnie didn't find you and put you in detention!" The boy with the honey curls said.
"No, it was the librarian..." Sirius smirked and after removing his trousers he fell on his bed.
"So you're missing our next Quidditch practice as well..." James sighed and looked to his friend on his right.
"Prongs I'm a natural talent. I'll be great without practice." His two friends exchanged a glance.
"Do you want to help us with a plan for the new prank?" Remus asked taking by surprise both of the boys. They weren't used to Remus suggesting doing pranks but whenever he did his pranks where even better than the ones Electra and James were planning. "What? Can't I think of a prank?" The truth? Well he didn't want to plan anything. He wanted to rest because full moon was near. But he also wanted to see his friends together again. Sirius had been spending lots of time with Diane and that didn't have an effect only on Electra who was boiling every time she was hearing that name.
Sirius gave Remus a glance full of mischief and smirked at him. "Moony, I think we're a bad influence"
"Speak for yourself Black!" James said. "So what's the prank?"
"Let's do something with the portraits! They were left unharmed all these years." The two boys smiled at him and shook their heads in agreement. "I'm going to wake up El." He said and ran out of the common room after putting on his trousers.
