I know this happened in the fifth or fourth year. I just messed up the timeline in order to make the first year as big as I could.

"Were you two betting about my love life?"

"I don't understand! Why can't I fully transform?" James said dramatically and the Marauders laughed.

"I just hope that you're not talking again for the antlers because I'd like to remind you that you're still young to have."

"I'm looking like a female deer! You can't understand my pain Sirius! You're just a dog."

"Hey! Watch your mouth! Don't talk like that about my dog!" Electra immediately said and the boy transformed into a dog and went and sat onto her feet looking completely serious at James.

"Well at least Sirius and Peter didn't choose an animal to transform based on which was Lily's favourite." Remus said with a smirk forming onto his face.

"It wasn't because of that! It just happened to like the same things. We're really similar if you think of it."

"Yes sure, you didn't just interrupted my conversation with her just to ask her about her favourite animal."

"It was a truth or dare! Sirius made me!" The black dog without moving from his place lifted his head and growled at his accusation. "Since you weren't asking her I had to do it myself El!" They rolled their eyes and rested their backs on the tree trunk near the lake watching James trying to perform without looking with a female deer.

Three months had passed from the decision not to let Remus alone during his transformation to a werewolf. Ever since James's suggestion all of them picked an animal and tried to transform to it. Peter picked a rat. He said that he wanted an animal which was small and quick and not easily spotted since they were illegal. Sirius inspired by his name he chose to transform to a black dog, which despite its size nobody would pay attention to it since seeing a dog walking around it was pretty normal. James picked a deer saying that it was an animal full of pride, really playful, but with eyes that could look straight into your soul. But all of the Marauders knew that this was Lily's description since James could not have said these things especially the last one. Electra tried to transform into a fox but she was facing some technical difficulties. Due to the fact that she was a metamorphomagus each time she was transforming the fur changed colours. So they decided not to transform unless some of the other couldn't.

"How are you going to spend the summer holidays?" Peter suddenly asked capturing everyone's attention which was previously captured from James' unsuccessful attempts to look like a male deer.

"Probably going to my father's house in the countryside. We have a huge yard and it's better for me spending time there. You know, there's lot of space and no other people around." Remus said and smiled at his friends. 

James turning back to his human form walked towards his company. "I don't know, probably travelling across the coast. It's a shame to be summer and not to get the chance to have a swim."

"I have no idea, my parents didn't mention anything in their letters." Electra lied. The truth is that the only letter she had gotten from her parents was to shout at her because of their prank towards the Slytherin's perfect. Who was totally deserving it since he had locked them "by accident" into the brooms' closet. And the prank was actually an accident. They just tried to burn the door of the closet so they would get out, they never thought that James' spell would be casted not only on the door but on the boy's hair as well. Yes Remus wasn't with them to tell them another spell to get out. The black dog on her feet raised its head to look at her sensing her lie. After all he was the only one who knew the whole story. She just began passing her fingers through its fur mechanically.
