Why?
Why did the tears not flow?
He seemed the perfect match.
Yes, was the answer to his question, on our perfect day.
Dreams were made for our life ahead.
On an ocean of love, we bobbed blissfully to and fro.
Then came that brutal blow, and the emotional torment.
He might as well have stabbed me through the heart when I saw them locked together in the photograph.
Every nerve ending in my body froze.
Young and pretty, she was about to become my mortal enemy.
Crying would not help one bit; for me, it was far too over-dramatic.
Revenge was going to become my true saviour.
You suffered for hours, we shared the poison, and now there is no one left to tell our story.
F/N: This is without doubt my favourite form of poetry, I have been able to adapt it to every form of poetry I've tried.
