Living in a Jungle
(NehpetsEnal) #95
You see that tall tree over there
You know the one where its canopy meets the horizon
It is my home, it's been there for over a thousand years
It grew from a tiny seed, deposited by my ancestors
We have lived the same way for millennia
We saw no need for change
As we foraged for our food
So plentiful, among the treetops
I know I'm only dreaming, sat here in a cage
They think they are doing me a favor, by saving my species
Is this what they call civilization
Why don't they do us all a favor, and put back all the trees?
