The Superman Saga
When I was a kid, in the dark ages
My hero flew from comic book pages
He had been saving the from a time before I was born
From the pages, I could not be torn
He did things no one else could
Protecting the neighbourhood
We went from door to door
Sharing comics, we wanted more and more
We now have superheroes galore, it's a comic book readers dream
But for me, Superman still and always will, reign supreme

F/N: As a young child my parents could never afford to supply me with the number of superhero comics required to satisfy my thirst, and I wasn't alone. So, even before my day, it had become the tradition to share by going door to door and bartering. But what I did not know then, was that among us were budding collectors who saved the originals, which are now worth a fortune.
