You hold your head up with pride

From the pressures of nature, you did not hide

Throughout the ice and snow, you remained hidden

Tucked up inside your little bubble

You fought your way to heaven

Worming your way skyward

Clawed your way through rocky soil

At the first sign of a thaw, you poke your head out

Just a glimmer of sunshine is all it takes

For you burst into flower

At the wonders of a new beginning

My heart begins to sing
