Our Greatest Achievement
There have been some amazing moments in my life
But three of them have created beautiful pictures
That will remain frozen in my memory
Something I can call upon on a rainy day
That will bring a smile to my face
And the feeling of unmatchable love to my heart
Each one came with a different story
The first was unknown and dramatic
Strangled by a tangled umbilical cord
The lack of oxygen never affected her super brain
The second was messy and funny
He opened all down, my shirt, trousers, and trainers, and I stood in a sticky puddle
Strangely, he grew up to be, the tidiest
The third was supernatural
He turned his head and looked me straight in the eyes as I spoke
He could run at eight months and he grew into a 6' 6" giant
But the most beautiful thing I have ever seen still remains
My wife and I sharing, our first moment, with our first-born child
Our love for them is no different
But that special moment leaves you with a feeling you can't explain
So, as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words

My children are all grown up and building lives and families of their own and it gives me great pleasure when sharing these magical moments with the next generation.
That's the Day 1 photo shown above, the real thing, it gives me goosebumps, aren't they both so beautiful.
