Our Dozing Minds
I can't understand a word of it
I feel like I'm sleepwalking
Every thought in my mind is contradicting
Everything I write I'm double thinking
The pressure is on, I'm starting to get tired
I join a trillion, dozing minds
Like a child, it begins to wander
I'm not sure where I'm going
My subconscious is alerted
It senses I am lucid dreaming
Warning me to hang on in
If I'm lucky and see it through
A new chapter will be written
If I falter and my dream stutters
There's little doubt it will hit the bumpers
And block me till I doze again
Footnote:
This has recently become my writer's block escape option and make a point of trying to work my way through every lucid dream, but it can be an absolute pain when it completely vaporizes on awaking.
