Our Illusion
From the point our adulthood began, eyes were closed-minded
Preventing our minds passage into another world
Someplace free from endless trouble and strife
Where one would find love and enlightenment
Some say it's where thoughts collide
Believing it's somewhere between normalities
With either ideology many share empathy
Men and boys love their toys
For others, it's found somewhere between their favorite soap opera and dinner
Sharing the same hopes and dreams
For each other's life, they yearn
Women and girls, embrace their fantasies
Our children understood
From the start
For them, there's zero doubt
Illusion and fantasy are the reality
Footnote:
Found this a challenge from the start, the degree of difficulty was no illusion, I can clearly see why this was worth 10 points.
