5. This joy is electric

I woke up to the sound of my alarm, I groan when I throw my phone of the nightstand, the alarm still going, no way better than start the day right? I remember then it's the first day the boys are going to race. All my negative energy turns straight into positive thoughts. I jump out of bed straight into the shower. I washed my hair and my body befor putting my hair in an towel and drying my body. I walk into in my bedroom to grab myself some clothes. I put on a blue dress with white dots, it's a bit short but I don't care.

I grabbed my purse with my phone and wallet, I also bring my canon camera with me to take some picture's of the boys. I walk into the hotel restaurant and grab a plate with some fruit. I turn around to see only Lando at the driver tables. I decide to just forget about the day before and join him at his table. I put my plate on the table and throw my jacket over the chair "good morning, did you sleep well?" I ask while sitting down. Lando finally looking up to me "good morning, well actually not really great but it doesn't matter, how about you?" I smile at him "Same, had a lot on my mind but today is gonna be a great day" Lando nods, with food in his mouth he asks me: "Why....don't.....you " I laugh at him not understanding anything he just said "what was that?" Lando swallows his food and asks again "why don't you drink milk in the morning"  when I wanted to answer someone else from behind of me did for me "Well maybe because not all humans are weird like you, be nice to this lady" I recognise  Danielles voice, he kisses me on my cheek and sits down while start giggling at the boys arguing a little about milk.

After finishing the food we went to the track, I went with Max and his girlfriend Kelly. I liked Kelly she was really nice and sweet. Just like Max she was really stubborn so when they would argue the whole hotel could hear. I heard them arguing this morning about Kelly being too much on her phone when she was with him on track. I can't disagree with him, always when she is on track her Instagram explode from photo's of f1 things. I also understand her because most places are beautiful so why don't share it with you fans.

The drive to the track was a bit awkward, but i didn't mind. When we were in the paddock I decided to see George before his practice starts. When I arrived at Williams the doubts hit me, should i really do this? I'm just saying hi as a friend right? Just when I was about the either turn around or walk in, I hear a familiar voice " Are you lost Nina?" I turn around to see George right behind me "No I wanted to wish you luck" He laughs " It's just a practice not the race itself" I nod "but still, good luck and be safe" He pulls me in a hug, I was kinda surprised but I hugged him back, I kissed his cheek "See you around George" and with that I turn around and walk away towards the Red Bull motorhome, I just know my cheeks are red by now but I just keep walking.

 I stop when I pass the Mc laren home. I decide to make a quick stop there too, I walk inside and walk straight into Daniel. he greets me with a hug "good morning sunshine" I laugh at the nickname "Hey Dan, you look happy" He nods and then he gets called by his engineer "duty calls, I will see you tonight at dinner, we need to catch up, okay?" I nod " Good luck today and will see you tonight" I kiss his cheek and when I want to walk out of the garage I hear my name "Nina!!" I turn around and see Lando standing in front of me, he smirks "wheres my kiss on the cheek" I roll my eyes "your being ridiculous right now" I kissed his cheek and he smiles really wide " Happy now? you better show your the best on track after that luck kiss" He laughs "I will try" I wave at him and leave his motor home to go back to the Red Bull garage.

I walk into the garage to see Checo getting ready, I didn't see him last two days so I walk up to him because I didn't introduce myself to him. He was just in a conversation with Kelly, I smile at him and say " Hey I'm Nina, the niece of Max" He smiles back at me "Nice to meet you finally, my name is Checo" I nod and turn my attention to Kelly " Do you know where Max is, I want to wish him luck" she tells me he is in his driversroom, I wish Checo good luck and went to the driversroom of Max. After I knocked on his door he scream: "Kelly not now, we will talk about this in the hotelroom" I open de door softly "It's me Max" He looks at me in de dooropening "ow hey Nien, what your doing here?" I smile at him, he look tired from last night I guessed "  I wanted to wish you luck" I pulled him in a hug " and tell you that your relationship with Kelly is more worth than some Instagram story's" He laughs and hugs me tighter " What would I do without you Nien" I giggle "Well I think you would simply be the same" He looks at me " I'm serious thanks for being here for me" I smile at him "of course max" He kisses the top op my head and turn around to get his last stuff done before the practice. I follow him to his car, before he puts his helmet on I kiss his cheek and leave to the spot me and Kelly are supposed to stay during te race.

We watch the race and we catch up with each other, me and Kelly are two totally different girl but we get along really well. The practice went great only Mazepin spinned into the wall. Max got out of his car and went straight to his drivers room to shower and change clothes. Me and Kelly waited for a while and when Max was ready we left te track. I wanted to lighten the mood so I put on Easy Love by Sigala , me and Kelly danced and singed the song. Max laughed at the look of his girlfriend and niece going crazy on a song. 

When we were back at the hotel, I went in my room to change my clothes I put on a T-shirt dress and went down to the restaurant. I looked for Daniel but only saw Lando sitting with Pierre, I ordered some spaghetti and went to sit with Lando and Pierre " Hey guys, mind if I join you" Pierre is quick to react with " Of course not, come take a seat" I sat down and looked at the boys who continued there conversation about the practise. They both were happy about the first and second practise, I just love listing to people without getting involved in the conversation. 

Then they both look at me, I look confused at them " I asked how your day was?" Lando said. I laughed " sorry I totally zoned out, my day was pretty nice, got to watch y'all race." Lando chuckles " your something different miss Verstappen" I look at him with the 'why' look, and just like he can read minds he says " because your one of the only person I ever heard say practise in fun to watch" I giggle " I just like seeing cars drive really fast" Pierre then joins the conversation "you like the cars or the drivers?" I think for a bit and respond with "Well I would say I like the cars more but then you two would leave me right now, so a bit of both" they both laugh.

A/N

That's it for chapter 5, the title of the chapter is out of the song higher power. I named the book after there song because first of all I LOVE coldplay, there really great and I'm going to one of there concerts when it's possible again. Second of all, I think it will fit the story really well.
