Higher power - Lando Norris

30. What now?

Max walked in on me and Lando eating breakfast, he still looked angry but I though it was just his morning face until he decides to comment about it again. "So you guys fucked again last night?"  I look at him with big eyes, he is so fucking childish it's getting on my nerves. "Max shut the fuck up please, though you would calm down after yesterday" Lando was quiet because he didn't want to cause more trouble between me and Max. "how can you do this Nina, you could fuck any guy but you choose fucking Lando Norris" I take a deep breath "Max we didn't and I can't choose for who I catch feeling, sure it isn't ideaal for you but you are not the person to decide who I want to be with" Max rolls his eyes at me and just looks at me with a strict face. I take a last bite of my breakfast before pushing Max to the hallway, "we are going on a walk, just us two. Wait for me outside" he walks outside without saying another word. I walk back to Lando and he looks at me with a little smile, "so you want to be with me" he wiggles his eyebrows and all I can do is giggle. "maybe, but now is not the time to discuss that." He stands up and puts his arm around me, "I know, good luck with Max. I will be here when you need me" I nod and kiss his cheek before getting out of his grip and grabbing my jacket. "hey, come back" I hear Lando yell from the kitchen, "what?" I look at him and he walks up to me. He cups my cheeks and pecks my lips, "We are over the kissing the cheek fase" I laugh and shake my head "you are unbelievable Norris" He smiles and heads back into the kitchen. I put on my jacket and close the door behind me, "ready" I look at Max who is focused on his phone. He just nods and walks in front of me to the pavement.

We walk in silence for a while, I don't really know what to say but the silence isn't awkward either, me and Max were always comfortable with each other. "Do you want to talk about it?" I ask after a while and he looks at me for a second I before responding "yes, let's talk about it" his voice was calm and he didn't sound angry anymore. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you earlier but  I was figuring it out myself so I didn't know how I felt" he nods "Well I'm sorry too,  shouldn't have reacted this way but every time I see him, it makes me angry. I'm just scared he will hurt you" I giggle, Max looks weird at me "what's funny about that?". I give him a soft elbow in his side "You are the overprotective brother" he laughs with me, "I'm not, I just don't want Lando to hurt you, I know it's a good guy but just the rumors about him aren't okay." I nod and hug into the side of Max "I'm strong enough you know, I will survive" he laughs and puts his arm around my shoulders "I know but if he dares to break your heart I will make sure he ends up in the gravel the next race" I laugh "sure Max, sure"

After a long walk we get back to my house, I see Lando his car still on my driveway. I look at Max he has a calm expression on his face. He then looks at me and ask "is it okay if I go and talk to Lando on my own". This took me by surprise because I didn't knew what Max his intentions were but I just nodded and walked into the house. I walk to the kitchen to find Lando, sipping on his tea while looking at his phone, the sight was adorable but I needed to bother him, "Lando, Max wants to talk to you" Lando was startle because he didn't hear me, "you scared me, where is Max?" I laugh about his reaction "he is in the living room, be nice". He walks past me and kisses my forehead "Of course sunshine, I'm always nice", I close my eyes for a second and take a deep breath, I wanted to know what they would discuss but it also wasn't my business what would happen between Lando and Max. After keeping myself busy for awhile I hear laughter in the living room, my heart skipped a beat. Maybe they would finally accept each other and eventually maybe like each other and be friends.

I walk into the living room and I see the boys sitting on the couch playing fifa, I laugh to myself. I sit down next to Lando and look at them but they are both too busy with their game. "so you guys are good now" Max nods and I get a small smile from Lando. I accept that they won't talk for the next two hours because they are boys. I stand up again and walk to the kitchen, I was about to make some pasta when suddenly I feel two hands on my hips. I look over my shoulder and their was the brown haired boy I liked way to much. "did Max already beat your ass in fifa?" Lando laughs "no, christian called him so he is outside for that call". I nod and focus again on the pasta, that give Lando the opportunity to lay his head on my shoulder and his hands goes around my waist. "you know I want to be with you too right Nina", I laugh "you do?" he nods and kisses my cheek. "Of course I want to be with you, you are the smartest and most beautiful girl I ever met in my life" I begin to blush but I didn't care because he knew me and he knew how to make me blush. He then whispers "your blushing again miss Verstappen" I giggle and turn my head a bit to look at him, I whisper back "I do not care mister Norris" he laughs and kisses my lips over and over again until I pull back "I need to cook for you and Max so go bother him or this won't be ready in an hour" He chuckles and he turns me around with his hands on my waist, he kisses me one last time before walking away, back to the livingroom.
