Thursday, media day. It was busy in the paddock when I arrive and it's kind of annoying because you can't walk anywhere without people asking you questions or taking photo's of you. I try to ignore the media because everything you say can be used against you. Max then suddenly gets asked if he and his girlfriend broke up. He laughs at the question "It's none of your business but no we are happy together. I smile when he says the word happy, I always wanted Max to be happy because he has a difficult life. We walk inside the garage and I spot Vicky, she waves at me when we make eye contact. I walk over to her "Hey, how are you?", "I'm doing great, busy day for me. How are you?", "I'm great, 4 days before I'm flying back home so thats kinda sad but I try not to think about" Vicky looks sad at me and hugs me "I have to do some interviews with Max, let's have diner tonight just the two of us to catch up?" I nod "sure, I will meet you at 7 in the lobby" she smiles at me and nods. We seprate ways and I walk to the Mc Laren garage.
I walk inside seeing Lando talk to his PR and Daniel is already walking my way, guess he saw me walking in. I smile at him "hey smiley boy, how are you?" He pulls me in a hug "I'm doing great, how about you?" I smile kinda sad at him "Well I confronted George and slapped him in the face but I'm doing great after some time alone" He look at me with a pity face "you deserve better sunshine" I nod not knowing what to say and Daniel gets called by his engineer "I will see you later sunshine" He kisses my cheek and turn around. When I was about to walk out of the garage my name was yelled, I turn around and Lando stands in front of me "hey how are you doing after the incident on Tuesday?" I smile at him, forgetting his question "Umhh... yea Tuesday, I was just really mad about it, now I don't know how to feel about it" He nods "He is a dick, Nina. You will see after some time"I nod and get lost in his eyes, his eyes are so blue and he is just beautiful. It's silent for some time now, when I snap out of my thoughts "I was thinking, maybe we could have dinner tonight, like together" I was kinda mad at myself already having plans with Vicky because I didn't want to disappointed him. "I'm already having diner with Vicky, maybe another time?" and just like I expected he looked kinda sad and I hated myself for having to be the reason of it "Yea sure, I have to go now, see you around Nina"
I sighed when I walk out of their garage, I wanted to go with diner with Lando but would it be a friendly thing or a date? Would it be too soon after George? I stop thinking about it because it would only ruin my day, so I walk back to the garage of Max.
I close the door of my hotelroom, really tired. It had already been a long day but it wasn't over yet. I got changed in some leather pants an white crop top to have diner with Vicky. I walk to the lobby, I was early because I didn't really tried hard to look good tonight. It was just Vicky and she had seen her at her worst a year ago, when her dad pasted away. I get to the living room part of the lobby and check my Instagram. Vicky walked toward me and I greeted her with a hug "you look cute, do you have plans after our diner" she smiles widely "maybe" I grab her hand "tell me everything when we are eating, I'm starving" we laugh and get to the restaurant. It's a cute Italian place with red walls and a lot op pictures on the wall of cars and drivers.
When we finally sat down and got our drinks I was really happy to finally have some girls time, she was one of my only girlfriends. Yes I had Liv and Kelly but that was quiet it, in school I always wanted to pay attention to classes so I didn't really make a lot of friends. But I wanted to gratuade this year so I could do what I loved most, live life.
"So what's up? why are you looking so good tonight?" I ask her with a big smile "I maybe have a ice cream date with a driver at 10" I squeaked of excitement "spill the tea sis, who is he?" She looked content with my reaction happy to have a supportive friend " Pierre" I look at her with big eyes, I was so excited because I liked Pierre, he was a great guy "oh my god, Vic. He is awesome" she nods "I know" Our foods gets to our tafel, I had a Italian salade and she had some spaghetti. When she looks at me "What about you? I saw you looking at Lando with heart eyes" I choke on my whine when she mentioned him "No I didn't, we kissed once and that will be the last time, no way he likes me" she looks at me with big eyes "you guys already kissed, when?" I could kick myself right now "Umh at Max his party last week" she looks really excited "We can go on dubbel dates when we are both dating a driver" I laugh at her thinking she made a joke when she looks at me dead serious. "I wasn't joking Nien", "ow, well that's never going to happen Vic, Lando doesn't like me and I don't think I like him" she shakes her head with a huge smile on her face nog believing me.
We talk about everything my family, her job at Red Bull, my plans after graduation and a lot more when it's already 9.30. Vic had to be back at the hotel a round ten, so we decided to walk back to the hotel, a bit tipsy. We laughed about nothing entering the lobby, I look around and see Pierre looking at us with an confused face. I couldn't hold my laugh any longer looking at him and I bursted of laughing and Vic did the same thing. With tears in our eyes we walk up to him "Hey handsome" when we stand in front of him, before he could say anything I opened my mouth again "are you waiting for this beautiful lady" I talked in a weird accent, Vic couldn't speak because she was laughing so much. Pierre laughed at us "You girls are wasted" I suddenly went dead serious "no we are not" Vic had tears in her eyes by now. "Well have a fun time but not to much fun without me" Vic smiled at me still with tears in her eyes. Pierre just nod and I walked away, still feeling really giggly.
I press the button of the elevator and laughed at myself for being so tipsy, I was always fast in getting drunk but it didn't matter I was fun when I was drunk. I don't care about other people oppions and I just lived my life. When Nina walked out the elevator and got into the hallway she saw Max walking toward her. "Heeeyyyyy Max, how is it favourite cousin of mine" He laughed at me "Nien, I think you need a glass of water and some sleep", "I decide what I need and I need another drink right now" He giggles, he knew when I was drunk and that I did what I wanted to. "come let's get you in a bed", "Hell nah, part pooper" I laughed at my comment, suddenly Max talked to someone else asking for help to get me to my room. I crossed my arms and tried the puppy eyes on Max "don't even try Nien, tomorrow you need to be on track again"
I disagreed with him, I wanted to party all night and then I realise Lando stands next to him, my drunk brain couldn't handle it. "Hey there, you look cute" Lando giggles "I like drunk you more than sober you", "ouch that hurts Lando, does that mean you like me though?" I was joking but he turned red when I asked him, Max looked at Lando really confused not knowing what she was talking about. "your drunk Nina let's get you to your room, we will talk tomorrow again if you remember" Max was really confused about his answer, what did Lando mean. Did Lando liked his little 'sister'. He let it go and they both grabbed a hand of Nina and dragged her to her room.I
(AN) I will be away for almost two weeks, hope I can upload some chapters but I do not think their will be much updates, today chapter 13 will also be up. Hope you guys like the story so far!!
