Higher power - Lando Norris

23. I'm home, safe

(suprise Shawty, three chapters one week!! who is this girllll!!)))

Lando left and I was left with my mom, who was still sleeping. Today was not a good day for her, she slept most of it probably still tired from the day before. She loved Lando I could tell but it still tiered her a lot, she wanted to talk to him a lot more I knew that but she just couldn't and I didn't blame her for it nor did Lando. 

I decide to go for a run, it was a bit cold outside but the perfect weather to go for a run so I put on some leggings, a sport bra and a sweater. I run a big round and it went really well, I didn't run for a week but I'm healthy and my body was trained so I could take it. My music distracted me from my sore legs and within an hour I was back home.  I turned on the tap of my bath so it could fill, I always tried to take a bath after running because it was good for all kind of things my trainer once told me, so I tried my best. I lighted some candles and put some relaxed music on, on these moments I like to put on Coldplay, I feel at ease when I listen to them. I check my phone and see a message from Lando. 

Lando: I'm home, safe. I will call you tonight after training, if thats okay

I smiled at the message and send him a message back that it's okay for him to call me. I put my hair up in a bun, I already washed that this morning so it didn't need more water for today. I then got in bath and closed my eyes, I loved the warm water on my body and I felt peaceful. I sat in bath for about 45 minutes, I dried myself of and got in a oversized shirt to sleep in, I grabbed my laptop and facetimed Max, I didn't talk to him the past days so I wanted to catch up really quick.

Max answered quick and Max was on my screen, he smiled and waved at me "hey Nina, how are you?" I wave back and smile back at him  " a bit better, still a bit numb but feeling lot better then few days ago" Max nods, I hoped he didn't ask further question I still didn't fully tell him about Lando so I thought it could wait a little longer. "What you've been up to last days? " the only thing I could think was 'fuck' now I have to tell him. "Well, Lando stopped by yesterday and we hung out with my mom, he wanted to meet her because I told some stories about her" and I also kinda like him but that was a thing I would tell Max later not now. Max looked confused at me "Lando? why him? ", "well, me and him get on pretty well and you know we are great friends" Max nods "sure". Lucky me, he finally drops the subject and we talk about the next race who next week, the guys had a week off and then they would race three weeks before summer break. I would also graduate in that summer break so Max could come to the school ceremony and the party after that. We talked about the three races and Max suddenly asks "do you wanna join the races or one of the races?" I doubt and he can see that "No is also an answer" I laugh "I know but I don't know how things will go with my mom, so I can't give you an answer right now" he nods "I get it, you can let me know later" I nod and then suddenly I get a call on my phone. "who is that?" Max asks, I doubt if I should tell him who was calling me but I can't lie to Max "It's Lando, I will call you soon again, have a great night Max" without giving him time to answer I shut my laptop and answer the phone to Lando, "hey, you are early done with training", he looks tired but he stills smiles at me like he did this morning. "Yea but my whole body is in pain, the training was heavy" I giggle at him having pity for himself, "Do I need to come over, to take care of you?" he just nods with a big smile on his face "you don't even have to take care of me just you coming over is enought to forget the pain" I blush at this comment and I don't know how to respond, "You look cute when you get nervous" Lando speaks up again "I'm not nervous, I'm just not used to being called all that" he chuckles "get used to it then prinses" I nod and with a shy smile I respond with "I will try" he smiles back at me and then yawns "go to sleep Norris, you will need it" he laughs at the name I call him "Okay Verstappen, you should also go to bed" I nod "I will, I only have to say goodnight to my mom who is probably already asleep" He nods "say hi for me to your mom" I nod "I will" He yawns again "well goodnight good looking" he says with a grin on his face "goodnight handsome" he waves at the camera before ending the call.

I laid down in my bed looking up at the ceiling, how was I feeling right now? I felt great but also not great. Lando really tried his best and maybe I overreacted a bit that night, we would give it a second change. I just hoped that I could see him more often after I was done with school, I wanted to support Max and Lando more often because I knew I loved watching them race. I couldn't leave my mom alone right now and I didn't want to leave her, I would stay by her side and I just hoped it would take years and years before I ever would have to leave her but I knew that was impossible.

A/N

After two long chapters, this is a shorter chapter just because it's a fill up. I want the next few chapters to be longer again just like the last two chapters. I like writing longer chapters but it's also a lot more difficult to write because it's more detailed.
