Higher power - Lando Norris

14. Try again

A/N I just got back home and I upload this part for you guys, what the hell, almost dubbel reads from when I left, THANK YOU. I hope you guys like the story so far, will try to upload again this weekend but on monday I'm leaving home again so I will keep you guys updated. enjoy.

Saturday qualification went fast and they were in Q3, Lando, Max and Daniel were on the track, trying to get a great time. She was happy seeing her friends doing great. Pierre was also in Q3 but couldn't do a quick round because his engine shut down. So she was watching the boys who could still get pole. Max got a really good round but Lewis beat it, so know it was Lewis getting pole and Max second. Lando was place 4 and Daniel place 6 but their were still some minutes to go. I heard through my headset "Max push, lets get it" he did what got ask and grabbed pole position, I was so excited and let out a squeak and I receive al lot of strange looks but I really don't care, my nephew just got pole position let me be happy.

Max walked into his driversroom were Nina was waiting for him. As soon as he was in the driversroom Nina flew around his neck. "great job Maxie, you were amazing!!" he laughs "thanks Nien, the car was on fire" they talk for a while. "I'm going to the MC laren garage to congratulate Daniel", "and Lando" Max said really quick. I slap his arm and laugh "sure whatever"

I made my way to the garage of Daniel and I tap his shoulder "Hey Dan, congrats on p6 that's really good" he has a huge smile plastered on his face "thanks Nien, I'm really content about it hopefully the car is just as great in the race tomorrow" I nod and smile "good luck Dan, you are a great driver" with that I give him a hug "thanks Nina, that means a lot to me"I turn around and walk straight into a Lando, I try not to look at him but he already saw me so I try to make it not awkward "hey Lando great job today" he looks a bit sad " Thanks, yea the team is happy with the places." I nod "how are you?" it was a random question popping in to my though and without thinking I just asked, surprised by myself "Well, i'm okay could be better. I"m happy the team is doing great but I'm just not happy or some, I don't know" I pull him into a hug again I surprised myself by my actions. He hugged me tight around the waist and put his head on my shoulder. We stood their what felt for hours but I pulled back and smiled at him " If you want to talk about it, I'm here for you"  he smiles back at me "Thanks sunshine" with that I wanted to turn around and walk away but before I could turn around he ask me "Do you want to go to diner with me?" I feel my cheeks get red "Umh sure, is that a date?", "It can be a date if you want to" I think for a little, he looks at me with a hopeful look "it's a date" He gave me a big smile  and we decided to meet each other at 8 in the lobby.

I walk back to the Red Bull garage looking if Max is ready to go, when I walk into his driversroom I walked in on a mess. Kelly was crying, glass on the ground and an hole in the wall probably from Max his fist. I look around to see if Max is still in his garage, I loved Kelly but if Max was really mad she needed to find him first or someone could die. I walk to Kelly seeing that Max isn't there anymore, i kneel in front of her punting my hands on her knees "hey Kelly, do you know were Max went? I need to find him" she nods and between her sobs she gets out "he... is ......on the way..... to Ferrari" I rub my thumb over her knee for comfort and I don't really know what to do next. The first thing in mind is to call Daniel, Ferrari was next to MC laren so he would me on time. He doesn't pick up the phone, nice... I try Lando and he picks up after six seconds "hey sunshine everything okay? we just saw each other", "Lando listen to me please, Max is mad as fuck about god knows what, he is on his way to Ferrari can you try to hold him back form killing someone" it stays silence for a while "and if you can't can you ask Daniel?" again silence "Lando?" then I hear his voice again in a distance "Max stop, I have someone who wants to talk to you" I smile, Lando just knew that he couldn't stop Max but I could. I took a place next to Kelly and put one arm around her, she leaned towards me and put her head on my shoulder. Suddenly I hear someone breathing loud into the phone "what do you want?" I recognised his voice and I hoped he wouldn't be mad hearing mine "hey Max, please don't do anything stupid. Can you come back to your driversroom, we can talk?" he sighed on the other side of the phone "yes we can, I'm on my way" well that went easy normally he wouldn't listen to me but I was glad he did "okay see you soon, can you give me Lando for one second?" Max said nothing back probably still angry "Is it going to be okay?" I hear Lando again "yes thank you very much Lando, we will speak about it tonight okay, your the best, see you at 8" I hung up before he could answer me and I turned my attention to Kelly who was still really upset.

"what happend Kelly, why was Max so mad?" she breaths in really deep and let herself calm down "I went to Charles because I wanted to congratulate him and when I tried to hug him, he wanted to kiss me" I look at her with big eyes "what the hell did he think" Kelly starts to cry again "I don't know, I wish I knew". Finally Max came into the room getting really sad really quick by looking at his mess of a girlfriend. He walks towards us and sits down next to Kelly putting both his arms around her "It's okay babe, I'm right here. Don't be sad please" I decide to give them a little space, I kiss the cheek of Kelly and I do the same with Max and leave the room. I still couldn't proces the thing that just happen and I decide it's for the best to get to the hotel and rest for a little.

I walk into my room and start to cry, I didn't really know why. It just needed to get out, I decide calling my mom would give me some peace. She always knew how to comfort me even if she wasn't near by me. The phone rang for some time and just when I was about to give up I hear her voice "hey baby, how are you?" her voice sounded weak but still really sweet, I started to cry "hey mom, I'm fine I just really miss you" my voice broke a couple times in that sentence but I didn't care my mom knew me more than anybody ever would. "hey baby don't cry, two more days and you are back here, home" I nod thinking she could see me "I know mom, how are you doing?" it's silence for a while and I heard her breaking on the other side "I'm doing fine, just a lot of pain to handle" I stays a while silence, both crying our eyes out. "do you want some good news mom?" I hear a little laugh on the other side which made my heart flutter "yes honey, what's the good news" suddenly I feel some nerves in my body, I didn't always talk about boys with my mom because I could sometimes be a bit reckless. "I'm going on a date tonight" I hear a little squeak and I couldn't but laugh a little through my tears "I love that honey, can you tell me about him a little more. Kind of a story before bed." I smile, I love my mom being excited for me she was my biggest support "Well it's a driver, he is really sweet and we did kiss almost a week ago. He has brown hair and some beautiful blue eyes, he is funny but also a little weird but like good weird I guess" I wait for a responds but I don't get one, I wait for another two minutes when I finally admit she probably fell asleep. "Goodnight mom, I love you" with that I hang up the phone and start crying again. In a matter of time I would be alone and it scared me alot.

I still have my brother but I wasn't planning on moving to London for him and his girlfriend. I was perfectly fine in Oxford, it was the place I was born and I wasn't planning on leaving the city. Liv was living also in Oxford and my brother visited me and me mom almost every weekend due to my mothers illness. I was overthinking right now on how I could possibly live my life without my mother , everything would become meaningless. I look at the clock on the wall and see that I got an hour left to get ready so I decide to get in the shower really quick. I dried my hair and put on a black jumpsuit, it was really pretty . I decide I just wanted to go a bit natural tonight so I only put on some concealer and mascara, I topped it of with some lipgloss and looked at myself in the mirror. If he would look really good he could see a bit of redness in my eyes because of the crying but I would just say it was allergy. I put on some gold jewellery and grabbed my purse.

I was excited for the date, just me and Lando and we could talk about everything without other people around us. I got into the elevator with a smile on my face, I couldn't wait to see him.
