Higher power - Lando Norris

2. Ow shit, I missed you!

Me and Max got in his car and drove to the track. We drove in a comfy silence it would never get awkward between me and Max, we were both chill people. I looked outside my window to see a lot of people from different teams and just people who were looking for drivers. Max never called those people real fans, they were just there to either take pictures or ask irrelevant questions. Real fans would know that on Wednesdays drivers don't have time to make 100 pictures with fans or answer questions about drama. 

We got out of the car and before I even stood with two feet on the floor, there was a camera in my face. The man behind the camera asked: "are you the girlfriend of Max? Did Max break up with Kelly? What do you think of Max cheating on his girlfriend with you?" I simply looked up at the man a busted out in a laugh. "Me, the girlfriend of Max? Boyy that would be illegal, I'm his cousin and as far as i know Max is really happy with Kelly." I turned around to grab my purse and saw Max looking annoyed at the man, i grabbed him by his arm and pulled him with me to the paddock entry. "don't be annoyed he was just a dumb person" i say while looking up at max, still holding his arm. He looked in the distant and answered with "I'm not annoyed just hate people like that man, like were does he find the audacity to ask you suck irrelevant question."

We scanned our passes and walked into the paddock, i followed Max closely because I would get lost if I would be here on my own. We walk past Ferrari and past the Mercedes motorhomes. When we walk past the Mc laren motorhome, I see a face who is really familiar. I smile really bright when i walk up to Daniel Ricardo.  He looks kinda shocked to see me but without saying a word he pulls me into a tight hug and whisper: "Shit, I missed you. Where have you been?" I pulled back from the hug " I missed you too Dan, long time no see. I was busy with schoolstuff and family stuff" He looks a bit sad at my because he knows my family situation, it's not the best.

 "How is your mom doing?" He ask all of a sudden, I snap out of my thoughts "She is not the best, the cancer is getting worse and she is having a hard time now my dad is gone" I don't want to cry in front of Dan so I change the subject " How is your race weekend going?" I know that's the most stupid question to ask because he hasn't raced yet. He knows me well enough that i want to not talk about my family and responds" Well so far it's been lovely here in Austria, it's quiet nice weather for a country like this" I nod in agreement and then look around to see that Max didn't notice I wasn't following him anymore. He left to his motorhome I guess, so I turn my attention back to Daniel who was now talking to his engineer. I ask him: " where is the Red Bull motorhome, max left me" Daniel laughs " Ow Max, such a gentleman, the Red Bull moter home next to the Alpha Tauri one, there" He points in a direction, I look and see a blueish motorhome, i thank Daniel and make my way to the building.

I see Max sitting in front of the building, looking at his phone. I walk up to him and getting his attention by saying: "Thanks for leaving me behind" He look up and says: " sorry didn't notice that you saw Dan" I took a seat next to Max and checked my phone, I decided to make an Instagram story of the paddock. I posted it and just then Max his engineer walked up to us "Max we have a meeting in 15 minutes and after that we are going to te press conference" Max simply nods and gets up to grab his stuff. He looks at me and says: "are you going to be okay on your own, you can come with me to the press conference" I nod "sure, I'm going on a walk true the paddock and grab some lunch, I haven't eaten today, I will meet you at the conference" He nods and with that he walks away with his engineer. 

I look around the paddock seeing a alot of teams busy with god knows what. I stop at a little cafe in the paddock, I walk in and see a blond guy, he smiled at me and I smiled back. I didn't have a clue who it was but it seems like he knows me. When I finally got my food and paid the boy said: "Hey Nina, you can join us!" I walked a bit confused over to the table, to see there where two other boys sitting at the table. One of them I recognised it was an old teammate of Max, Alex Albon. "Hey Alex, what are you doing here?" I asked to not make it awkward, it was kind of a stupid question because he simply is an old formula 1 driver. He laughs and says" Ow Nien still trying to not make any situation awkward. I'm here supporting the drivers, this is Pierre Gasly, he drives for Alpha Tauri. And this is Lando Norris, he is drives for Mc laren." I giggle at his words and say hi to the boys before sitting down. I look at Pierre and ask: "Do you know me? " He laughs and says " well we never met but I know you are a cousin of Max, so i though why don't you sit with us otherwise you would be alone" I laugh and look at the brown haired, blue eyed boy, who is already looking at me, when he noticed I'm looking at him, he turns bright red and looks away, i quickly look at the plate with food in front of me and start eating. We talk about the upcoming race a bit more when I finish my food. "Thanks for letting me sit with you guys, I'm going to the press conference." Pierre and Alex nod and wave me goodbye, Lando just continues his food and doesn't do or say anything when i leave. Weird....

Well Lando met Nina, this story is gonna be so much fun!! I still have to think which drivers are gonna be involved in this story because I like a lot of drivers. We will see.

This chapter Lando, Pierre and Alex are new. Alex already knows Nina a bit because he used to be a teammate of Max. Pierre is a new person she met, he will be in some chapters and then Lando, he is going to be a lot in de story, I really like Lando as a driver, he is really talented and good at driving but he also has a fun personality and he is really cute.

Just so you know, if you are reading this. The first five chapters of the story are already written before uploading them on Wattpad. So I know how the next five chapters will go and IM EXCITED!
