"We can't land there," Steve said as he sat down on his seat and strapped on his belt as everyone prepared for the landing. "They'd know."
"But if we go anywhere else, it'll take a lot of time to get to their base. If they get an idea that we're near, they'll run." Tony said. "The Quinjet can lead us directly to their base without getting noticed. I say we ambush them right there and then."
"No," Steve spoke sternly. "We don't want to panic them out if there's James on the line."
"Look, Cap, I get it but it already took us so much time to find Clint's signature here. If we-"
"No, it didn't." You said suddenly as realization dawned upon you. "It didn't take us time to find him. He took his time to be discovered." You said as everyone looked at you. "We all know Clint's one of the best at stealth, he won't just let himself be detected by the tech of an organization he knows through and through. If he was picked up by SHIELD's detectors, it must've been because he wanted to."
"That's," Tony spoke as he thought it over in his head, his eyebrows raised. "That's actually more probable."
"Which would mean he already knows we're coming." Natasha chimed in.
"Because he invited us right in." You said and locked eyes with Steve. "I say we ambush. Tony, scape the grounds. Watch out for any automated weaponry and defences. Peter and Rhodes will be on the ground. We need to make sure there are at least three paths out of that field when we get James." You told everyone. "Natasha and Steve, you go look for James." You said. "I'll take Clint."
Steve wanted to object but he didn't. He looked around the room, praying that someone else would object but nobody did. He sighed and nodded along. He was nervous, not for himself but for you and James. They didn't even know if James would be there, even Clint could be gone by now. But if Clint was there, he didn't want to think how bad things could go. He understood where you were coming from, that you wanted to face Clint and feel the need to set things right. While he didn't like it and didn't want you to be alone in it, he knew you had to do this for yourself. Before he knew it, they were approaching the base and everybody had gotten ready. Tony and Rhodes had jumped out in their suits.
"Y/N," Steve looked at you. You were looking outside the window, trying to gauge the cover of the base. You turned to look at him. "Be careful." He said and you could see the worry in his eyes. You only had time to say, "You too," Before the Quinjet started descending. As soon as it was on the ground, everybody scattered to their assigned positions.

The grounds were eerily calm when you got off the Quinjet. Everybody took their position as you, Natasha, and Steve entered the building. Though the building was only a couple of floors high, you guessed it'd be dug pretty down into the ground. SHIELD had tried to investigate the area but it was like the building had popped up out of nowhere and yet seemed years old. The entrance to the building was wide and there wasn't any door or lock. As you walked in, Steve let go of your hand as you decided to split your ways here. You were to look for Clint based on his body signature that Jarvis provided you via an earpiece while Steve and Natasha went their way looking for James. Just as you walked deeper into the building, you heard explosions from outside the building. The fight had started and it had waited for you to get into the building. You weren't sure what was to come next but whatever it would be, it had an ominous feel to it.
You went down a couple of levels when your earpiece went blank. The floors and walls were built with stone and the only light was coming from distantly placed electric lights. You moved around a little to find connectivity but it was gone. You were about to go up to get an update from Jarvis when you heard footsteps. You paused and turned to look but there were gaps between the lights and while you could hear someone walking across, you couldn't see anything.
