"Tony, just this once. I know something's not right." You said, trying to convince Tony to give you the surveillance passwords. You were currently in his bedroom on his floor. After having watched a movie with Clint, you had gotten out after he fell asleep on the couch.Tony sighed. He walked up to you, "You don't have to do this, Y/N. If you don't want to train under Steve, then fine. We'll find a way out but-"
"Tony I'm not lying!" You raised your voice in annoyance. "Like really, do you actually think I would just-" you tripped over something and was just about to fall before Tony caught you.
"Woah, careful there." He said. You tried to stand up but winced as your ankle hurt.
"Shit, I think I sprained it." You hissed in pain as you leaned on Tony for support.
"Wait." Tony said and picked you up, carrying to his bed when you heard the door open.
"Y/N?" Clint looked at you and then at Tony before turning back to you again. "What is going on?" He asked and you could hear the anger in his voice.
"Oh no, it's not what you-" Tony was cut off as he put you down on the bed.
"Get up." Clint said, ignoring Tony as he walked to the bed. His eyes were fixed on you.
"Clint, I sprained my ankle! It's just a huge misunderstanding. You don't-"
"I said get up!" Clint yelled, grabbing you wrist and pulling you to your feet. You took in a breath, biting your lip as your ankle hurt. You tried to keep up with Clint as he pulled you to the elevator. Tony tried to stop him but you waved him off.
"Clint, please calm down. It's-"
"Shut up." Clint growled through clenched teeth, his eyes fixed on the door as you two waited for the elevator to reach your floor with his grip still tight on your wrist.
"No it's seriously not what you-"
"Y/N." Clint growled again, his breaths heavy. "Shut up before I fucking do something I'll regret later." He said and his tone made you shut up alright.
The elevator stopped at a random floor and your eyes widened when you saw Steve walk in. He looked at you two, especially at how you were standing on one leg and how Clint had a grip on your wrist. He didn't pay much attention and just stood there. You looked at Clint. His eyes were still focused upfront, his jaw clenched. After a couple of floors, your floor came and Clint pulled on your hand. You hissed as your ankle hurt and your wrist started to as well now. "Hey!" You heard Steve get out after you two. "You're hurting him." Steve said and Clint looked at you before he turned to Steve.
"He's my husband." He said.
"And he's my trainee. Let go of him. Now." Steve said and you were surprised when Clint actually let you go.
"Enjoy." Clint said and left to the room.
Steve crouched on the floor. You were still shocked by everything that had happened but you were pulled out of it when Steve took your ankle in his hand. "Don't." You winced when Steve pushed on it a little.
"It's a fracture." Steve said after he was done looking at it. "Come on, I'll take you to the medical wing." He said and helped you back into the elevator. You didn't get to see much of his face but you were already surprised alright by how gentle he was acting.
"Wait." You said as Steve pushed the button on the elevator. "Bruce is there." You said and Steve looked at you. His face didn't hold any expression. He just nodded, "Right. And I don't think you want to go back to your room just yet either." He said.
