Previously on Broken Vows,"Harder." You moaned as Clint thrusted into you.
"Yeah? You like that?" Clint grinned and thrusted harder and faster, kissing you roughly.
"Y/N? Clint? Are you okay? You weren't answering your phone and we thought- ah! No!" Thor immediately shut his eyes with his hand as he entered the room. "My apologies. Uh... um- I shall... I shall take my leave." Thor mumbled as he tried to find the way back with his eyes shut.
Clint pulled out of you and you covered yourself with the bed sheet. "It's okay, Thor. You came just as we came." He chuckled and Thor came in again.
"You seem very comfortable to be naked around him." You said as you picked your clothes and put them on under the sheets.
"Chill, he won't open his eyes until he's told to." Clint laughed and went to the other side of the room where his clothes were. He put them on and told Thor that he could open his eyes. "What's up?"
"You and I have to go to the site for some work, my friend. Fury has asked us to go check it." Thor said.
"What site?" You asked, jumping into the conversation.
"Just some spy mission me and Nat were working on. But since Nat got busy with Bruce, Fury decided to assign the world's loudest person for the spy work." Clint sighed, making you chuckle.
"I'm not the loudest." Thor frowned. "Y/N and you was pretty loud when I walked in." He said nonchalantly.
You blushed and Clint laughed, "Alright thunder God, let's roll." He said and left with Thor. "Alright. Seriously now, what's up?" Clint asked as he got into the elevator with Thor. He had known that Thor was lying the moment he mentioned to go see the 'site'. He had played along because something was obviously up.
"Dr. Cho has asked to see you." Thor said as he looked down at the shorter blonde.
"Helen Cho? Why didn't you just say so?"
"I'm sorry, brother. I wish I didn't have to lie, but Dr. Cho had asked of me so." He said as the elevator doors opened to the medical wing of the tower.
"Clint." Helen looked up from a bunch of papers as she saw him walk in with Thor into his lab. "Thank you, Thor." She nodded with a flirtatious smile. "I will let you know I need anything else." Thor took it as his cue to leave and he walked out.
"What's up, doc?" Clint said awkwardly, his hands in his pockets, as Helen got back to reading the papers in her hands.
"Please have a seat." The doctor said without looking up. Clint followed the instruction and waited patiently for a few minutes before Helen put the papers down. "I hear you've been having problems with your fiancé lately." She said nonchalantly as she set up a syringe.
Clint frowned, "Excuse me?"
"You've had behavioural changes. I've talked to Ms. Romanoff so I know it isn't just someone's poor judgement." She said as she motioned for Clint's arm to be laid on the board. She tied his arm to achieve the required vasoconstriction. She took a blood sample from his arm.
Natasha? Had she been telling everyone about the ups and downs in his relationship? "And how does that concern you?" Clint snapped.
"You've been diagnosed with Astrocytoma, Mr. Barton." She said, using the formalities to let her disapproval of Clint's known be known. She explained further at Clint's confused look, "Astrocytomas are a type of cancer of the brain. They originate in a particular kind of glial cells, star-shaped brain cells in the cerebrum called astrocytes."
