"Why even bother?" Tony asked as he made his way to the bar on the main floor where he saw Steve chugging down vodka straight from the bottle, knowing it wouldn't do anything for the super soldier.Steve sighed, "I just happen to like the taste."
"Don't bullshit me, Rogers." Tony rolled his eyes and took the seat next to Steve. "What's gotten you so desperate to get high?" He asked.
Steve sighed and looked at Tony in the eyes before he spoke up, "Do you always have to be this intrusive?"
"Honestly Cap, if I could roll me eyes any further, they'd be running down my ass and off my body." Tony said but looked down to see how Steve was wearing a formal shirt which was now shrivelled out of the suit pants of the suit set Tony had gotten for him from Paris. "Date didn't go so well?" He guessed.
Steve took a deep breath, "Date didn't happen so well." Steve said. Tony raised a brow to which Steve continued, "Y/N came home late and was too tired to go out. I booked another restaurant when he got late and the time for our previous booking passed but I had to cancel that one too."
"And that's a big thing? You've never been stood up before?" Tony asked.
"I don't understand, Stark. He's hiding something from me. I know he is... I know it's not my business to ask him something he doesn't want to tell me but... He just looks so troubled these days." Steve vented.
"Who says it's not your business? You're his husband for God's sake, you have a right to know what's going on in his life." Both Steve's and Tony's heads turned to the new voice that had just chimed in. It was Peter Quill, one of the newest additions to the team. He was currently crashing at the tower because of some business he had here.
"I don't want to sabotage his privacy." Steve reasoned, though showing his obvious discomfort at another person joining in on the conversation.
"Sabotage is a big word, my dude. He's your husband, what's his is yours." Peter shrugged and poured himself a drink and took a chair with Steve and Tony.
"I can't believe I'm saying this but I agree to some of what he's saying. If it's bothering him that much and you're concerned for him, just look around a bit." Tony said.
"But-"
"No buts. You get his phone and you go through his last calls and texts. Then-" Peter started but was cut off by Tony.
"Okay, no. I don't think Cap would like relationship advice from someone who's dating an alien. Also, no." Tony said.
"I'll see you guys later." Steve said and stood up from the bar, making his way to the elevator lobby.

"Come on, Y/N. Wake up." Steve shook you as he put on his shoes with his other hand.
"What?" You groaned and turned to face him.
"Come on, breakfast is almost ready. Everybody's waiting for us." Steve said. You sighed and sat up, rubbing your eyes. "And we should probably leave early if we want to avoid traffic."
"Leave for where?" You asked.
"To see James, of course." Steve said with a smile but frowned when he saw your look. "Please tell me you didn't forget about it."
"God, Steve. I'm so sorry. I just have a meeting today and-"
"It's okay." Steve said suddenly and stood up. "You don't have to come, I'll go. I'll see you downstairs." He said and left. You sighed and sat up before you got up and went with your morning routine before going down for breakfast as well.
