You were sitting on the edge of your bed, your face in your hands. You had not bothered to lock the doors to your room so Tony came in without knocking. You were still shaking but seemed rather okay. "Hey, you okay there?" You heard Tony's voice which was a lot calmer and softer than you had remembered. You looked up and nodded, even though your face was turning red. He seemed skeptical so you showed him the box of pills."Are you sure you're supposed to take them so often?" Tony asked, sitting next to you on the bed. It made you shuffle a bit but you didn't bother much.
"I'm sorry for leaving the dinner table like that. It's just..." your voice broke, tears threatening to fall out.
"It's okay. You don't have to talk about it. We won't nudge." Tony said and you nodded, looking down. "Can I ask one question though?" He asked, making you a bit tense. Though the meds did help you stay calm. You nodded. "You told Jarvis that you don't prefer a last name. Why's that?" He asked.
You sighed. "My parents kicked me out last year when I came out. That's pretty much what lead to the whole town scenario." You told him.
"Came out?" Tony questioned further.
You left out a small chuckle that seemed to have an effect on Stark. Which was obviously only clear to Stark himself. "I'm gay, Tony." You stated the obvious. But his eyes did widen a bit. For a genius, he really was dumb sometimes.
"You are?" Tony asked again, making you chuckle a bit more.
"What? Do I need to suck your dick to confirm?" You said playfully and saw Tony gulp. You laughed a little too much on this and rested your head on his shoulder. "Thanks." You mumbled.
"For what?" Tony asked, shifting a bit so your head laid a bit more comfortably.
"For letting me stay. And for this." You smiled. "I've never had anyone come up to talk to me when I've had problems with my past before." You said.
"And that tells me that I should do it more often?" Tony put his arm around your shoulders. You were just a little smaller than him in height but you did fit well in his hold.
"Yeah." You sighed.
"You know I've had a fair share of a fucked up past as well. And I know how bad nightmares can get. And with your anxiety, I hope you don't mind if I keep Jarvis have a track on you? It'll just be a measure to make sure you're fine." Tony said nervously.
You nodded. "I'm used to surveillance and I guess it'll be better than a bunch of humans following you around everywhere." You said.
"Fury can be a bitch sometimes." Tony agreed.
"Sometimes?" You chuckled and so did Tony sometimes. You lifted your head up and looked at him. Before thinking much, you pecked his cheeks and said a thank you once again. Tony gulped again before you stood up. "I think I'm going to go check out the gym. I really need to get tired physically." You said, not noticing the blush on Tony's cheeks.
But he rose up, causing you to halt. "Actually um," Barton's there. He'll try to make a move. Tony thought. "Banner's there. He won't really enjoy your presence for now." Tony said, using your last encounter with Bruce as an excuse.
"Right. I'll just go read myself to sleep then." You said, picking up a book.
Tony's eyes moved to the book and he smiled. "Astrophysics For People In A Hurry?" He chuckled.
You narrowed your eyes, "So what?"
"You know, I could explain it a lot better than Neil deGrasse Tyson." Tony said with a hint of pride.
