Clint woke up the next day and found you asleep next to him, your arms wrapped around Clint's torso. As the events from the night before came to haunt Clint's conscience, tears brimmed his eyes upon seeing you next to him. He knew he didn't deserve you. He knew you deserved better. He gently slid out of your arms and gulped, looking down at you. It made him sick but he knew he had to be strong. He gently took your hand in his and took the ring from your hand without waking you up. He took out the ring from his finger and put them in a box before going to shower.***
"How long before Thor gets here?" You asked over breakfast. Clint focused on his breakfast. You hadn't even noticed your ring missing from your finger. To Clint, it was the final answer. Before anyone could answer, Thor walked into the main room with Loki next to him. Thor looked grim and had a bunch of cuts and bruises on his body.
"Are you okay?" You and the others immediately rushed to Thor. And even though he said he was fine, you grabbed the first aid and tended to his wounds.
"So you're Y/N?" Loki licked his lips as he looked you up and down. You shuffled your feet as you awkwardly looked at the God. "If I were to be honest, when my brother was talking so highly of you I genuinely thought that he'd just gone nuts, not that he already wasn't, but now that I look at you..." he grinned and looked around in the room. He briefly locked his eyes with Clint, Steve and Tony in particular before turning back to you. "No wonder half of the team wants to fuck you."
"Enough, Loki." Thor said. Clint left the room with a simple 'I'm not feeling well.'.
"We shouldn't waste anymore time." Fury stepped in to ease of the tension.
"Fury's right. The council won't be generous enough to wait for us that long. Who knows what they have up their sleeves." Steve said but his eyes remained fixated on you.
"When do we leave?" You asked as you finished patching up Thor.
"In an hour." Fury replied.
"Until then, perhaps, I get to have a chat with our little protagonist?" Loki grinned and leaned in dangerously close towards you.
"Loki." Thor immediately stood up and maintained a healthy gap between you two. You rolled your eyes and went to see Clint.
"Clint?" You called and opened the door to see him packing a bag. "What's that?" You asked as you saw him.
"Just packing our bags." He smiled at you but it looked forced and you immediately caught it.
"Clint, what's wrong?" You asked and sat on the bed, facing him.
"Nothing." Clint said.
"Clint." You warned. "Don't lie to me."
Clint sighed. He knew he couldn't lie to you. You knew something wasn't up with him and Clint had to find a good excuse to cover things up. "I'm just worried." He said. "You're going alone."
"Well, Loki will be there." You said and gave him a reassuring smile.
"I don't trust him."
"I don't either, Clint. But he's our best chance at getting through if things mess up. Trust me on this one. I'll do it." You said.
