Chapter 35: Recruitment

Eren's POV:

It was the day after my meeting with Mark, the real one.
We both agreed that we needed to find the mastermind behind all of this first before we do everything else.

I still don't have any idea how to do just that. I could probably steal Mark's phone, but what if they thought ahead and they didn't communicate with Mark there?

I told Mikasa and Armin about this too when I got back to my dorm yesterday.

Armin had an idea, but it would take too long.

Armin suggested that we could wait until we graduated and he could build the time machine and go to the time when his future self went to our past life, to stop him from doing so.

I know Armin's plans always work but it would take too long, we still have a few years left in college, and adding up to that, years it'll take to build the machine.

And another flaw, we can't just attack the enemy straight on with just us. We'd have to recruit people, but who would be crazy enough to believe us? Moreover join us?

Actually... There are people crazy enough to believe us. And I know exactly who they are.

"Why should I?" He asked, putting his empty cup on the table.

"Please Levi. You have to help us. What if they come after you and the others as well?" I said.

Levi sighed and stood up.

"Whatever. I'm only going to do this just so those brats wouldn't get hurt. How do you plan to even take these people down anyway?" Levi said, taking his cup and washing it by the sink.

"We don't exactly have an efficient plan, but we were thinking of trying to find the person behind this before we do anything." I replied.

"And how exactly do you plan to do that? Through the brat pretending to be your future son?"

"Exactly."

"How long would this whole plan take to complete?" He asked.

"Well.."

"Years. Right?"

"Yea. Since we can't think of a more efficient plan." I answered.

"Tch. Whatever. Get out of my house, you're making the floor dirty."

I stood up from my chair and left Levi's house.

I was able to convince Levi to help us, he could definitely be good help but it doesn't get easier from here.

Levi can't be the only one to help us. God knows how many people that person has working for him just trying to get revenge on me.

I should probably head back to the dorm. I could probably try to get Reiner to help.

I got into my car and drove out of Levi's driveway.

I turned the GPS on and set it to head towards the dorms.

A few minutes later, I received a phone call from Mikasa.

"Eren you remember sasha my roommate, right?" Mikasa asked, sounding much happier than usual.

"Mhm"

"Well, I was talking to her about our history project we recieved on friday, and we were partners so we decided to do the project on the attack on Marley all those years ago."

"Okay, but what about it?" I asked.

"Well while we were discussing about it, the topic of Sasha's death on the airship slipped my mouth. And since her death wasn't disclosed to the world except us and her family, nobody knows about how she died."
