Sienna

The one thing I loved about Ashton's parents was that they were always so understanding with anything that was brought to them. They never got mad about Ashton and me being so young and having a baby, nor when we got married and had gotten pregnant again. They were okay with everything. As I talked with Lena about bringing them the rest of Ashton's stuff, she knew that I was coming from a place of understanding, not in any way trying to bring up old memories or be rude about things.

"Sienna, honey, that's fine. We know that you're moving on in life and that would be exactly what our son would want you to do. You've found a wonderful man that loves and supports you. We are so happy for you and we know that we'll always be able to see our grandbaby."

"Of course. I was planning on her and I bringing the stuff over this weekend if that was okay?" I asked noticing the time on the clock. I had to start getting the rest of the stuff that I was taking over on this trip into the truck because most of it needed put away before going to pick up Eleanor.

"That's fine with us, honey. Jeff and I weren't planning anything until the week after."

I hated to dump all that on her and then go, to me it felt insensitive, but after explaining the situation of needing to get my butt into gear she had bid me farewell; after telling me happy birthday. She hadn't been the only one. My Twitter and Instagram had blown up this morning after Ryan had posted a heartfelt birthday wish on both apps. I had messages from Paige, Brad, Joey, and Brittany, even earning myself a wish from the Team Penske page as well. Chase, William, Bubba, and Amanda had also sent messages too. My parents and Ryan's family all had sent me wishes that I had immediately replied to as they came. I hadn't had the time to even respond to the ones I had gotten after but I would when I could get the time. Sophia had sent me a long message this morning and also reminded me to open the present that she had brought over Saturday. I hadn't forgotten about it, not even in the slightest because I had a big feeling it would be the big reveal of the gender. How could I not be excited about that?

The only problem was that the bag was still sitting in the bedroom at the other house and I probably wouldn't have time to open it when I got all there. Unless I finish up here and make my way over now.  As I thought about it for a mere second, I had made up my mind and was already heading down to my truck with a couple of bags in each hand, ready to go.

When I made it back to Ryan's house, now ours, I immediately got out and made a beeline for our bedroom. Sitting right where he left it, I plucked it up; taking it to the bed to open. Carefully opening it, pink and blue tissue papers cover everything slightly. On top was a card and beneath it was a wrapped box. Taking the card out, I read it smiling.

'Happy Birthday Aunty Si,

I can't wait to meet you! Mommy and Daddy say I'm going to love you so much. I know you already love me, which is why Mommy has a surprise for you in the box. I'll see you very soon!'

Putting the card aside, I took out the box and began opening it. My heart leaped out of my chest as I pulled out a pink flower-covered pacifier. My best friends were going to be parents to a little girl. I was even more happy now than when Sophia had told me she was pregnant.  Eleanor and their daughter were going to be the best of friends, even if they were five years apart. With my phone in hand, I dialed Sophia's number wanting to talk to her for a little bit.
