It was just around eight when I woke up the next day from my phone ringing. Eleanor was wanting to tell me all about her night of doll-playing with Uncle Mason. The sound of her happy laughter and tales from last night made me smile from ear to ear. She was the best part of my life.

"Mommy, I got to go. Aunt Soph made waffles and I'm hungry." El spoke hurriedly. I smiled, knowing that waffles were her (and my) breakfast weakness. It was a very efficient way of getting her out of bed in the early hours of the morning for pre-school.

"Okay, baby. Be good and let Aunt Sophia know to call me later. I want to hear all about your day." I told her, knowing that she'd probably not tell her but I would get a call tonight from her again.

"Bye momma, loves you." The smile she had on her face was evident in her words. Gosh, did I miss my baby?

"Bye, sweetheart. I love you." I said, knowing she loves it when I say it like that. Pulling the phone away from my ear, I tossed it beside me and leaned back on the pillow. My heart broke. Eleanor was growing up so fast. Her birthday would be here in a few short weeks and that thought broke my heart that my baby wasn't a baby anymore.

I lay in bed for a couple more minutes before getting up to get some coffee. I knew that Ryan would have been long gone by the time I was up but I was surprised to see that he left a cute little note letting me know that we would grab some dinner tonight after he was finished for the day.

His schedule for this morning was crazy. I knew he had a drivers meeting before the first practice and then was going to have a signing with a couple of the other Ford drivers. Then the festivities for championship weekend would start tonight.

Sometime last night as we were winding down from the plane ride, he mentioned that there were a couple of concerts going on tonight and tomorrow that a lot of the drivers were going to go to. I couldn't remember who was playing but I knew Ryan wanted to stop by and check it out. I couldn't blame him, concerts were always fun. I couldn't tell you about the last concert I went to so tonight should be fun.

Today though, Amanda and I were going to head into town and do a few things. Get some lunch, and have a nice manicure and pedicure. I don't know when the last time I had my nails done was and I was pretty excited about it.

Grabbing some clothes out of my bag, I took a quick shower and decided to just go natural with my hair and no makeup. No point in doing either if I have to just do it again later for dinner. With a quick text message to Amanda letting her know I was on my way, I slipped on my sandals and headed out into the warm morning air.

I posted a photo on Instagram after coming out of the nail salon. It was strange, trying to type with the new coffin-shaped nails I had now. Amanda laughed at me, seeing my struggle. She started the rental car and proceeded to head back to the track
