Sienna

Erin had been helping out a lot for me, and if it wasn't her then Lisa and Dave were around on weekends to keep El and me company while Ryan was at different tracks. When he came home the next afternoon, he enlisted the help of Bubba (and supervisor William) to put together the cribs and dresser that needed to be done. Chase had been busy in Georgia for the day and unfortunately wasn't invited to the pow-wow of friends. Although I'm sure it would have been even more chaotic if he had been there. I could hear the curse words flying from the living room and would laugh when Eleanor told them they were saying bad words and Mommy would get onto them.

That's my girl.

Although, I wouldn't get onto them because I knew that those things were a pain in the ass from the first two go rounds. That was the worst part, besides the actual labor, in all this.

When I noticed the curses had gone silent, I waddled my way up the stairs to see how the work was going. You could say I was wanting to take William's job but it entailed watching them and not doing much. I wanted to see if I could start putting some clothes away; or at the very least, put the stars on the wall.

What I had walked into was not what I expected. All of the walls had been painted light blue and pink. The metallic stars Eleanor had picked out were placed all over the room, even having the glow-in-the-dark ones along the ceiling. The bedding for each crib was set up. I almost cried when I saw Eleanor sitting in the middle of the floor, trying her best to help put her pictures into frames for her little siblings.

"You guys wanted to get this done, didn't you?" I had caught the attention of my husband with my words. His face gave away the fact that he wanted to surprise me with a reveal. Little did he know, I was surprised. The room was nearly finished besides clothes being added to the dresser and closet.

Ryan

I had never been so happy to leave Bristol as I was this weekend. A second-place finish was exactly what our team was needing. Other than a win, which was going to happen for us soon. We were spot on with pit stops, our strategy was executed perfectly. I was sure we would have won if it hadn't been for late fencing from a Busch brother.

April was almost to its end, with May coming up fairly quickly. There wasn't much left for Sienna and me to prepare for with the twins. The room was done, we got the car seats for each of our vehicles, and I was sure they had enough clothes to last them for months of being newborns.

When my sisters were told that Baby A was a girl, they had all but cleaned out the bow section in every store they went to. I had to put in another dresser just for the stuff they had purchased  Thankfully, I had many friends, and a brother-in-law to help in making sure our son wouldn't be left out. Not that Emma and Erin didn't buy him the cutest things too.

The babies would most likely outgrow the clothes before they were to be able to wear everything.

"Hey babe? Can you come here?" I called Sienna, who was inside the garage with Eleanor. I had decided to put together the car seats for both of our trucks but was stuck with the base. The directions were as confusing as they could get and trying to do both seats at one time was the worst idea that I had come up with.

"Having trouble?" She smirked, seeing my facial expression. The parts were laid out into two separate piles, so I wouldn't get things mixed up.

"Why do they make these things so confusing?" I asked, holding up the bottom piece of the blue car seat. All Sienna could do was grin at me. With a quick answer about how I should have done them one at a time, she took my place and started to assemble the base into the truck.

"I was just as confused as you are when I was putting together Jace's and Eleanor's seats. Although they weren't as nice as these."

In record time, she had completed Baby B's seat and had told me to climb into the truck and secure the belt. While I did that she took a minute to ask Eleanor if she was doing okay before moving onto the next seat. El was going through some old boxes of Emma, Erin, and my racing gear.  After her bike accident had resulted in a broken arm, the little brunette had been persistent about wanting to be better at riding once she got her cast off.

So when the time came for the cast to be removed and we were told everything was good, I took Eleanor out into the field and helped her stay upright and figure out the brakes better. The crazy part was she was done with the bike in a couple of weeks and wanted to start learning how to race with something that had a motor.

That was probably the moment that Sienna had been worried about the most. We both knew that being around the race tracks and the other kids who were already racing would influence her a lot, so we had talked before about it. Neither of us minded if she wanted to start racing, we just figured she would wait a while and then do it. When it did happen sooner than we figured, we enlisted my dad in helping find everything we would need for her.

He and I had turned one of the old barns into a shop while we got her a go-kart to practice with. We planned to build a track for her to practice on after school but both of us were so busy right now that we didn't have time.

"After you buckle this seat in, would you make sure that Eleanor's okay?" Sienna asked, bringing my attention back to her. Doing as she asked, I turned to gaze into the garage. Eleanor had sat down to finish going through the box, seeing that she was gazing at some of the smaller trophies that were in there.

"She's still being good. Why don't you go inside and rest for a while? El and I will clean up the stuff out here before we start on dinner." She gave a happy nod, waddling to the garage. I shut the truck door and followed behind her. Sienna hadn't made it far, being stopped by our daughter as she wanted to show her some of the ribbons and trophies.

"Daddy, when we paint the go-kart can we make it yellow? I want it to be just like yours!" The look she gave me had my heart melting. "Only if you clean up the mess you made in your bedroom." She gave me a big smile, moving the stuff around her back into the box.

"You got it!"

The way she cleaned up around her and ran into the house, had left Sienna gobsmacked. The look she gave me was of wonder, knowing that she had tried all day to get her to do that, and it only took me wagering a deal with her to get her to do it. "You're in charge of that one from now on."
