What do you bring to your boyfriend's parent's house for Thanksgiving? That's exactly what I had asked Ryan and the only answer I got was, "I don't know, babe."
That was a lot of help.
Sophia had said maybe a dish of green beans or corn, but I knew Lisa would already have every side dish we would want. When I asked Erin, she said that she was just bringing drinks for us all because that was the easiest, so the beverages were out. Emma was bringing her famous deviled eggs, which I was sure to love. (Her words, even though I was never one to turn down food.) I even went as far as to ask Eleanor and she was every bit of help with her shoulder shrug, as Ryan was.
The evening before we were leaving I still had come up empty on what to do. Eleanor had been out with Ryan and William for today, leaving me with Erin to figure this out. She looked through the cupboards over a dozen times, waiting for something to pop out and give her an idea. I had done that too, even going as far as to drive to the grocery store to get an idea, with no luck.
Finally after some thinking and serious looking, Erin looks up from the cupboard and asks, "Are you a baker?"
I was never one to toot my own horn but I did enjoy making baked goods now and then, but I figured that Lisa would have every pie available tomorrow.
"Self-proclaimed." I chuckled at my response, sliding off the counter and coming to see what she was on about.
"Cookies, or cupcakes?" She asked, eyeing the bags of sweet treats that were haphazardly tossed inside by Eleanor a while back and I usually am too busy cleaning other things to remember to organize my cabinets.
"Cupcakes, Ryan has asked me to make them for a while now but I never find the time," I told her, taking the box of white cake mix out before making sure I had all the ingredients. Eggs, oil, and water, I'm all set.
Cupcakes it is for tomorrow.

ryanblaney10: Happy Thanksgiving everyone. I'm glad I'm able to spend today with family and these two very special ladies.
Eleanor and Sienna had a blast on Thanksgiving with my family, even though I knew Si was a bit bummed that she hadn't got to see her family. Her parents were traveling around the West Coast the last couple of weeks and were going to continue over to the East Coast until around the week of Christmas. So I had been trying to take her mind off of it for the whole day.
