Sienna
The next morning I had woken up before Ryan and Eleanor from the pain of my cramps. It was strange that I had only a little spotting yesterday at the end of the night but I figured that it was going to come back around today, and feeling this way I could tell I was right.
Trying not to wake up Ryan, I slipped out of bed and went into the bathroom. Hopefully, I could take a shower and help ease some of this pain until I could get to a store and buy some medicine for it. Before getting into the steaming flow of water, I checked to make sure that Eleanor was still asleep, seeing that she was (and snoring loudly) I went ahead and got in.
The hot water felt nice against the pain, calming it to where it was bearable. I never have cramps like this, that's why I don't carry medicine for it. My period is always light and easy to manage. This one though, has thrown me for a loop. It's lighter than normal but all the symptoms came along and were wreaking havoc on my uterus,
Hell, I even had a breakout on the bottom of my chin. I haven't had acne in years.
Hearing a knock on the door, I peeked my head out of the curtain just in time to hear a small voice ask, "Mommy?"
"One-second baby, I'll be right out."
Grabbing the white towel from the holder, I wrapped it around my body quickly. Opening the door up, I was met with Eleanor yawning. "Yes, baby." She had rubbed her eyes, trying to rub the sleep out of them.
"I have to potty, mommy." She pushed her way in causing me to laugh. Shutting her door, I grabbed my stuff and headed back into the bedroom. putting on my clothes for the day. If I'm not mistaken some of us were going to head to town and go shopping.
Looking out the window, I was caught off guard seeing the ground completely covered in snow. The weather hadn't predicted this blanket of cold until the end of the week. Grabbing a pair of fuzzy socks from my bag, I put them on before being attacked by Eleanor coming out of the bathroom and seeing her outside. I held her in my arms, not being able to contain my smile at her.
"It's snowing!" She yelled, her eyes growing big. From behind me, I could hear the shuffle of covers and Ryan groaning. It was still pretty early and I hated to wake him up. Putting my finger to my lips, Eleanor understood to be quiet because Daddy was still sleeping.
"Let's go get ready for the day."
We tip-toed to her room and started going through the articles of clothes to find her something pretty, and warm, to wear. After getting Eleanor dressed in some pants and a long sleeve shirt with a kitty on it, I let her slip on her socks before we headed downstairs to get breakfast. I hadn't heard any noises so I figured that everyone was still asleep. Although I was wrong as I saw Lisa and Emma in the kitchen, a coffee mug in each hand. Louie sat in his chair on the island with some cereal puffs on his tray. A big ole' smile as he tried to shove his fist full of puffs in his mouth.
"Good morning." Eleanor perked up seeing them, rushing over to see Louie and entertain him while he ate his food. I smiled at them as I grabbed a cup of the amazing-smelling liquid.
"Good morning. I was thinking of making some breakfast, are you all hungry?" Emma shook her head no but Lisa spoke. "Oh, you don't have to do that." She placed her hand on my arm. I smiled at her, knowing I didn't but cooking was one of my favorite things to do, even more so than writing. "I know, but I love to cook for people so I don't mind a bit." If it wasn't cooking then I loved baking.
