The end of the twenty nineteen season had crept up on us without warning. I hadn't done too bad, but I was out before the final four races. I couldn't even say I was bummed about it much as I was too excited to announce the two little members we would be adding to our family. We found out what each baby was during our eighteen-week check-up. Baby A was fine with letting everything hang right out, but Baby B was being very conservative with keeping everything hidden delaying us from starting to buy clothes for them. We had got a few gender-neutral things but my sisters were excited to buy bows and girly things if one of the babies decided to be a girl.
Eleanor's birthday was celebrated with a Halloween party after going trick or treating. She had chosen to be a princess this year, wanting to have the crown and wand when she first saw them in the store. Chase and I had taken Eleanor around town as Sienna hadn't been up to walking that much. I didn't mind it, we had a blast with it. We even made sure to double-dip from Sienna's pile of candy when we left and when we got back.
We had done a good job of hiding the pregnancy from our friends during November. Since the weather hadn't been too warm, and Sienna being naturally cold most days, had her wearing hoodies and larger shirts to conceal the growing bump that had seemed to pop overnight.
When the banquet had reared itself during the beginning of December we had found ourselves at the time to let fans and friends know about our secret. Sienna had found the perfect dress to accentuate her body. It was a light pink silk material with mesh long sleeves covered in crystals. The bust was ruffled into a sweetheart neckline. The dress was very form-fitting until the loosing at the knees. The silk material showed off the sixteen-week bump perfectly.
Unfortunately with school for Eleanor, she hadn't been able to accompany us but my mom had made sure to let her stay up to see us and before we left our hotel room we had talked to her on Facetime.
When we arrived at the awards banquet, we were stopped on the red carpet to give an interview. I wasn't familiar with the two gentlemen that were doing it, so I waited until we were further down the carpet to say anything. I had seen a glimpse of Bubba just a couple of people away but couldn't speak to him. I was bursting with excitement to tell someone the good news. I had to relax though, remembering that I was holding Sienna's hand and I wasn't about to drag her down the carpet to see Bubba.
"Hey Sienna, Ryan. Have you seen Joey?" Brittany asked seeming like she had been taking in everyone around. Walking around saying hi to everyone she knew. I had barely even gotten a word out before Brittany's eyes went wide with joy. Before either of us could say anything, she was pulling us in for a hug. Guess she noticed.
"Congratulations you two! You are glowing tonight!" Sienna rubbed the side of her bump, a blush coming across her cheeks. I couldn't help the grin that came over my face. It was true. The glow Sienna had tonight was undeniable, she was smiling wider and enjoying herself so much. During the first trimester, she was sick most of the time.
"Thank you, but you look amazing yourself. That dress looks incredible."
"Well, just between the three of us, Joey and I are cooking our little one. He just hasn't popped out yet so I can get away with acting like I just gained weight." From behind her, I saw Joey coming closer. Sienna had already returned the hug and was asking questions.
"She told you two, didn't she?" Joey slipped his arm around his wife's side, smiling at her to say he wasn't mad that she let the cat out of the bag.
"Well, she only told me because she noticed our double trouble bump," I told him, sending a proud look to Sienna's bump.
The rest of the night was filled with so many smiles and congratulations. Chase had almost tackled me when I told him the news. I had never seen the smile on his face crinkle the way it did. The same went for Bubba, only he did cause everyone to look our way when I was picked up in a bear hug.
"We get mini Blaney's." Bubba set me down before giving Sienna a much gentler hug. She had taken all of the attention on her well, even though I know she hates having people staring at her.
"And I'm still going to be the favorite uncle to the new additions." Chase had said, causing the teasing and one-ups to happen between the few that were around us. Sienna had just sat in her seat, a big smile on her face. I had been the same, knowing that our two new additions were already so loved by all of our friends and family.
