Sienna
Well, I can rule out pregnancy for whatever has been up with my weird symptoms. Not that it had been something that screamed out at me but there is always that tiny voice in the bad of a woman's head that yells it, even with being safe like we have been. Unfortunately on our way to the vacation house, I had gotten my period. Even if it was lighter than usual, I was dreading having it for a few days. Even that was too long in my books. Thanks to having kids, I only have it for two to three days at the most.
Ryan had been the best boyfriend stopping at a gas station on the way and letting me change before we finished the rest of the drive.
After making it there, I took Eleanor inside and laid her on the couch as she had conked out about thirty minutes ago and I wasn't going to wake her. Ryan's parents, Erin and William had all made it before us but we weren't surprised with how long it took us to get on the road this morning. After my shower, Eleanor had a meltdown because she couldn't take all of her toys. So that resulted in her being placed in timeout until she calmed down. It took a little while longer than usual for that to happen so instead of taking five toys she only gets to take three. We have the other two in a bag for her when she starts behaving again but she had to be good and say she was sorry for how she acted.
When I walked in William went and helped Ryan with the bags, knowing there would be quite a few with all of us doing our gift exchange later tonight after dinner. Erin grabbed my hand, pulling me upstairs. "I have the perfect room for you three."
And she wasn't kidding when she pulled me into a large room with a king-sized bed and an adjacent bathroom. I see why it was so perfect because the bathroom connected to another bedroom with two small single beds. "Perfect," I said in a bit of awe at the view of the large master bedroom and seeing it had a balcony. It overlooked the trees and mountains off to the side of the house. Hearing a commotion from the guys in the hallway, I had to see what everything was all about.
"A child is sleeping downstairs and unless you both want to deal with Miss Cranky, I suggest you be quieter." That caused both of them to stop the bickering back and forth about Christmas presents.
"See this is why I like her. She straightens the boys up without even batting an eyelash." This voice wasn't from Erin. Seeing Emma come up the stairs with a not-so-baby Louie had my attention.
"I don't know how she does it but I'm thankful for her most days." Erin walked over to her sister, taking the little boy from her hands. "It's a mom thing, Erin. You'll find out soon enough." That was the cue for both Erin and William to blush, William muttering about needing to grab something from the car. Emma and I laughed at them and I noticed that Ryan had kept his gaze on me. A small smile came over his lips. Not thinking much about his reaction, I walked over to admire Louie.
Crazy enough, he saw me and immediately reached his chunky arms out for me to grab him. Taking the cutie, I tucked him in my arms. He gurgled and laughed, sending my heart fluttering.
Ryan
Erin and I sat on the couch as William and Eleanor play wrestled on the floor in front of us. Dad and Cale had sat on the couch opposite us, deep in their conversation. Erin had been talking to me about the couple of gifts that they got me. A new set of seat covers for my truck and a vintage shirt of Harry Gant that she and Sienna looked together to find out if I had. I didn't say anything about already having it because the one I have has a hole in the back from a fall when I was hiking around with Bubba last year, so I never wear it and I wasn't ruining the way their face lit up when I told them I didn't have it.
Sienna had taken the liberty of watching Louie as Emma and Mom helped set up his bed in their room. Erin and William's room was upstairs with mine, and then Emma and Cale's was downstairs beside Mom and Dad's. It had worked out well because once I could, I pulled Erin off to the side and gave her the black ring box to hide in her room. That way I wasn't worried that it would be found; even in my boxer bag.
We had gotten William a few new things for his IRacing setup and Erin had gotten a few makeup palettes from her favorite brand that Sienna had picked out. Emma and Cale were given a new comforter set that was a nice blue, white, and gray color. Emma had mentioned that she wanted it a while back but never got it, needing other stuff. Sienna got Mom a new air fryer and crock pot set, and my dad wanted a toolset to work on some of his racing stuff.
Other than the shirt, Mom and Emma coordinated their gifts and got us a tableware set and new placemats to go along with them. I smiled at them but knew that that was way out of my element. Hand me anything about racing and I could talk hours on it; the designs on a table set, not so much. I was still grateful that they were happy about Sienna and me moving in together.
"Here you go, Uncle Ryan." Sienna came around the corner from the stairs and handed me the chunky baby. His hands balled into fists seeing that his favorite wasn't in front of him anymore.
Getting his attention as fast as I could because if not he'd start crying, I started to tickle his tummy. If Sienna was passing him to me, she must have been needing to do something. She's been his best friend since they got here. Watching her head to the bathroom, I remembered what started early and got what she was needing.
Louie giggled before rubbing his eyes with his exaggerated movements. "You sleepy, buddy?" Excusing myself from Erin, I walked down the hallway to see how the setup was going.
"I think someone is ready for bed." Both heads popped up, a smile going wide on Louie's face. Emma came over, taking the baby from my hands. "Thanks, Ryan, I'll put him to bed after his nighttime bottle." She gave me a smile before continuing. "Oh and thank Sienna for me. She truly is a godsend for watching him so long."
"Of course. Think Louie replaced me on who she loves more." I joked.
Leaving the room, I walked back out to the living room seeing that most of the room had left the room too. William and Erin were now walking out onto the long deck with Eleanor nowhere in sight. "Where's El?" I asked, catching them just before they were out of view. The pair turned, with William answering.
"Sienna told her it was time for a bath then bed." I nodded and told them I'd see them in the morning before heading upstairs to our room. I heard the laughter coming from the bathroom before the door opened revealing both of my girls. Eleanor had her jammies on and her hair dangled down in her loose ringlets. Sienna was carrying her dirty clothes and a brush in her hand. Her expression was a smile with tired eyes. Seeing that, I told her I'd put Eleanor to bed so she could relax for a bit.
After all, that's what this week was for. A lot of relaxation laughs, and to make her and Eleanor a part of the Blaney clan, officially.

I'm so sorry it's been so long since I last updated and that this one is a horrible filler. I got a little preoccupied with my story Lies and completely neglected this one. But Lies will be a stand-alone book. I hope everyone is doing well. <3 How I picture their house is at the top. No snow just yet. :D
