Before the words even left my lips, I was already nervous to hear what Sienna had to say. I was more than happy for this to be another date but if she didn't feel the same, I'd just made an ass of myself.
"Officially our second date then." She grinned, a small blush creeping on her cheeks. I had come to enjoy seeing that, it made me feel like I was doing and saying the right things.
"Sounds great to me." I echoed the same amount of enthusiasm in my response before closing the door for her and going around to the other side. From my side vision, I saw Brad and Joey standing by a hauler, giving me two thumbs up from them both. I shook my head at the two as I climbed into the driver's seat.
I swear, it seems like both my friends and Sienna are wanting to see us together. I can tell that's why Sophia wanted to keep Eleanor with them this weekend; wanting to give us some alone time. I was mixed about it though because I know that it's a package deal with the two and I was more than happy to have it that way. There was no need to have it just be the two of us because I had grown fond of Eleanor as well.
With a smile at the thought, I started the truck and headed to our destination.
Small talk flowed from us both, mostly from Sienna telling me about Eleanor's weekend so far. Hearing her talk about her daughter made me miss her even more. Not thinking about it very much I spoke up.
"How about Monday evening you and Eleanor come to enjoy the evening at my house? I can make some food for the three of us and we can catch up with Eleanor." I hesitated after starting but figured to just go with it. The worst thing she could do is say no.
"That sounds nice. I'll ask Eleanor if she'd like to when I talk to her. She likes you, a lot." I smiled upon hearing that. I had hoped that I made some progress with her, knowing that she was Sienna's number one in life.
"She's amazing, just like her mom." Oh, God. That was cheesy as fuck. When Sienna laughed at it though, I knew it wasn't that bad. "Ryan Blaney being cheesy. Who would have thought it would happen?" She said before shifting in her seat to see my face better. "Get used to it, I'm full of cheese." I joked with her. She shook her head, a full grin on her lips.
"What do you two like to eat? I can make a few things or I can order takeout for us." I asked, changing the subject just a bit. Off to the right. I pulled into the lane to exit off the main road, following behind a bright blue car as we both seemed to be going to the same place.
"I'm fine with most things. Eleanor is a bit pickier with her food but she'd probably eat anything you fix her."
"Spaghetti is her favorite isn't it?" I found a spot, far enough away from everyone else; hoping that Sienna didn't mind walking just a little more.
"It is, she likes it with vegetables and chicken a lot more than with traditional red sauce but she'll eat it either way it's made." Unbuckling her seat belt, she grabbed a hold of her purse, making sure that she had her wallet. I had already mentioned to her that I would never make her pay for herself at all. She had only blushed at my chivalry but I was being serious. Tonight when the check comes, she's not touching that wallet at all.
Stepping out, I walked around the other side to get the door for her. She had started to open it some so I went ahead and held it out further, helping her out of the slightly high truck. "Aw, thank you." I let her straighten her skirt out before grabbing her hand again and intertwining my fingers with hers. It was the first time I had ever done this with her but it just felt like the right thing to do. Sienna didn't protest to it so I was relieved about that.
