No One's POV
"Here," wheezed Hueningkai, handing over a letter to Beomgyu. "I think you may want this. I haven't opened it yet, it just has your name on it." Beomgyu picked up the letter although he was hesitant by seeing the same handwriting from the last note on the chair. Once again, it was made so that there is no way to tell who's handwriting it is. He ripped it open and saw:
I see that you helped your two friends now. It doesn't feel very fair to me now that you have 4 people on your side, but I guess all the more fun for me. But you will be in for a big surprise. But it seems one is missing. The next place you can go to is the rooftop, sounds easy, right? Well, it might not be when you come up. Oh, and I almost forgot, Taehyun is with me now.
Beomgyu looked away from the paper enraged at the fact that this person had taken Taehyun hostage. The brunet wasn't sure who it was yet, the handwriting making it one reason, but for some reason, all this feels oddly familiar and it sends chills down his spine.
Kai, who also read along with the others all looking over the brunet's shoulders', said,
"I know a shortcut to go upstairs." Everyone turned to look at the youngest, then he explained "Well it's very useful when you are about to be late for a class almost every day, hehe." Huening scratched his head in embarrassment. "Nevermind that, can we please focus on getting Taehyun now?"
Huening had brought everyone to the hidden staircase which was surprisingly pretty close to the janitor's office.
"I have never seen this before, but isn't this a door only the teachers can go through?" said Soobin as he was about to open the door.
"That's not what is important right now. Let's just focus on getting Taehyun before minding the small details." Huening quickly replied as he opened the door. Beomgyu was the first to head up the stairs. He was skipping a few stairs with each stride causing him to almost trip with worry washing over him again and again.
He finally reached the top with a few ragged breaths, a few more deep breaths were heard and Beomgyu finally opened the door to the rooftop. But to his disappointment, the door was locked. There was a small window which he could peer through, but with the limited view, he couldn't see much other than the vacant rooftop.
"UGH! Why? Are you kidding me? Now is seriously not the right time!!" Beomgyu screamed, frustrated he ran his fingers through his still sweaty hair.
They all took turns trying to open the door, but to no one's luck, the door didn't budge.
"Can someone bring my paperclip?" Called out Beomgyu immediately switching his demeanor to a calmer one. The yell created an echoing effect making it so that whoever was still at the bottom could still hear.
"What paperclip?" yelled Soobin.
"Beomgyu used a paperclip to open the door for you guys. It's probably right outside the door, can you go get it?" Yeonjun yelled from the top of the stairs down to Soobin who was still on the main floor.
"Yeah, just give me a second!" Soobin screamed already on his way where he was stuck for an hour. Yeonjun ran down to meet Soobin halfway when he heard a 'here' from his boyfriend before running back up. With the paperclip now in the oldest's hand, he tossed it to Beomgyu who caught it.
Rushing to the door, he put the paperclip in the lock and leaned in so his ear could hear even the faintest of clicks. Using all his skills he learned not that long ago and was able to finally open the door when he heard the satisfying click.
As soon as he did, he burst the door open, but once again, he was disappointed, he saw nothing. Nothing at all.
"I swear, are we getting tricked?" Heuningkai said angrily after coming to the top soon after Beomgyu, seeing that there was nothing.
