Pagkatapos kumain nila Dianne, naglalakad kami patungo sa next class namin. I was all smiles because bati na kami ni Luke. Habang naglalakad, bigla akong hinatak ni Dianne palapit sa kanya.

"Can I steal Deseree for a bit?" sabi ni Dianne.

"Sure." sagot ni Luke and he smiled at me.

Stop smiling, Luke. You're making it harder for me.

"Great! See you at the class, boys!" Dianne shouted as we started running to God knows where.

"Boy and a half!" I heard Cristoff shouted back and I laughed.

Nang makalayo na kami, agad akong hinarap ni Dianne. I raised an eyebrow kasi hindi ko alam bakit kami lumayo.

"Kailan mo sasagutin si Luke?"

Nabigla ako sa tanong niya. I bit my lip when the question starts to dawn on me.

"Hindi ko alam."

Totoo. Hindi ko talaga alam. Gusto ko lang masigurado.

"But you like him?"

Tumango ako. It's true. I know that I like Luke.

"What's holding you back?" tanong niya habang nakatitig sa akin.

Hindi ako makasagot. What's holding me back? I just wanted to make sure about my feelings for him. I want to like him, like really like him.

"Hindi ako sure, Dianne. I like Luke pero hindi ako sigurado. Paano kung gusto ko lang siya kasi gusto niya ako? How can I be so sure?"

"You want to be sure?" she asked and I nodded.

"Give him a chance."

Napaisip ako. Should I give him a chance? I know he deserves it but do I really have to? Natatakot ako baka sa huli, hindi pala totoo ang nararamdaman ko kay Luke.

"May lakad kayo this Sunday, right?"

Nanlaki ang mga mata ko nang maitanong ni Dianne iyon. Hala, ba't niya alam?

"How'd you know?"

Dianne rolled her eyes, "Nakalimutan mo atang magkatabi tayo sa klase. I can hear the two of you whispering at each other."

I chuckled, "Sorry na."

"Anyway," Dianne held my hand as we slowly walked at the corridor, "Give him a chance this Sunday. No pressure. Kung ayaw mo pa rin, think about it. Mas mabuti ngang sasagutin mo siya kapag kayo na kasi doon lumalabas ang totoong Luke."

"Is it okay? Even though I'm not entirely sure?"

Dianne face me. She stared at me, "I know you're sure. You're just afraid and you know why."

Dianne knew that I had an ex back then. But of course, I didn't told her about the real reason. Even Luke. I explained that it was complicated that we have to break up. It was technically true.

"Give it a shot. Wala namang mawawala kung susubukan mo diba?"

I nodded.

"Are you sure?"

"Yep."

Maybe, I should. Luke deserves it. Maybe I'd realize my true feelings towards him. I've been desperate of making sure my feelings towards him but I did not think about it through. I didn't expect that Luke will be serious. I think I should try.
