"Wala akong tinatago, Blake."
"Yeah, keep telling that to yourself."
Sumasakit na ang ulo ko. I forgot how stubborn he is. I always lie, but when it comes to Blake, the temptation of just telling the truth to him is getting to me.
Hindi na ako nagsalita. Blake just looked at me. Almost glaring. Of course, hindi ako magpapatalo. I glared back. I should remind him that I didn't lie even though I did. Hanggang ngayon, after all these years, naniniwala pa rin siya na may ibang dahilan kung bakit lumayo ako sa kanya. That's just concludes that Blake knows me. Too much.
I looked away. The sudden guilt crept up to me. I've been lying too much but here I am, being a hypocrite telling to a guy that I hate liars kahit ako naman ang sinungaling.
The tension broke nang may tumunog. Sinunod ko ang ingay ang I saw that it was Blake's phone.
Emily calling...
Right.
He's engaged pala.
Umirap ako. Nagsimula na akong naglakad palayo. What's the point of arguing with him when in the first place he's engaged. I know I've said this a countless of times by the fact that he's engaged, which is true.
Habang naglalakad palayo, naabutan ko si Dianne. She was about to speak but I cut her off when I just pulled her arm with me. Hindi na siya nagsalita. She must've sense my bad mood.
"No," I answered, truthfully.
"Sino bang nag-away sa'yo ha?" she's starting to roll the sleeve of her blouse, a gesture that she's ready to fight anyone.
"Believe me, you don't wanna fight with him. Let's just change nalang," I dismissively said.
Dianne pouted, "Okay. You know who to call naman if you want someone to lay a hand for you," sabi niya at niyakap ako.
I smiled, "Of course."
We searched for Miss Hanabi and there, we saw her wearing the same t-shirt as ours.
"Beach volleyball muna. Sali kayo?" Miss Hanabi asked, holding her iPad.
Tumango ako. Si Dianne ayaw niya munang sumali. Mag-pipicture lang muna raw siya. Tumango naman si Miss Hanabi.
"Great. She's tapping her iPad. I guess she puts our names there.
We stood under a big umbrella.
