{A/N: I know that in reality Sabrina Carpenter wrote the song, but in this universe this song hadn't previously existed; This story is part of the "When the Sun Sets, Will It Last?" series, and takes place a year after the last story; Photo above is what they look like as humans; Ignore the conversation bubble in blue}
Tonight was the big night. The night of Donnie and Y/N's first wedding anniversary, and Y/N decided to surprise her favorite, albeit her only, husband by proving that she could be just as dramatic as he occasionally is. How, you might ask? By giving what might be the biggest performance of her life. Well, as big as you can get when you're performing in a cafe. As a favor to their favorite, albeit their only sister in-law, Raph, Leo, and Mikey were currently escorting Donnie to the Central Nervosa cafe, while April and Casey were helping Y/N set the stage for her upcoming performance.
Donnie: "May I ask why the three of you are dragging me to some random cafe when I should be spending the rest of the evening with my wife?"
Donnie annoyedly glared toward his brothers.
Leo: "Trust us D, after you see what the six of us planned for you tonight you will be thanking us for years to come."
Donnie: "And just what is it that I'm thanking you for? And who's 'the six of us'? Last time I checked I only had three brothers."
Mikey: "Us, April, Casey, and Y/N. Speaking of whom, we can't tell you or we'd be in violation of our promise to her."
Donnie: "Alright, I'll bite. Are we almost there?"
Raph: "Actually, we're already here."
As they walked in, Donnie froze in surprise and confusion to see his wife on stage in a lovely purple dress with April and Casey as her backup singers.
Y/N: "Hi, ladies and gentlemen. So, this song's dedicated to my husband as a gift for our very first wedding anniversary, which happens to be tonight. Now I know they say 'No big surprise gifts until every anniversary decade' or something to that effect, but after all he's done for me and all the support he's given me through everything, I figure that this is the least I can do. Thanks to him, I'm living my best life. So, without further ado, this is for my favorite drama queen. Trust me Handsome, you're not the only one."
April quickly interjected with an "It's true" which was met with laughter from the crowd. As the music started, Y/N took a deep breath to calm her nerves, and Donnie couldn't help but smile brightly and lovingly at the grand gesture his wife had made.

Y/N (April & Casey):
So what if I just wanna be
A little bit out of my mind?
I let you take my heart and I like it
So what if I happen to be
A little bit out of my mind?
I bet I'll steal your heart and you'll like it
And I don't think it's any kind of secret
I feel you from a million miles away
And your love is the best thing that I got
And it's only just begun
But it's never gonna stop
It's the best thing
The best thing that I got
I know sometimes it seems like I
I'm just a little bit behind
I get back on the beat and you know it
And sometimes I can tell that I
I'm just a little out of time
I make you skip a beat and I know it
But I don't think it's any kind of secret
I think of you a billion times a day
Your love is the best thing that I got
And it's only just begun
But it's never gonna stop
It's the best thing
The best thing that I got
So don't feel lonely tonight
You know I'll never be hard to find
So don't go out of your mind (Out of your mind)
You know I'll never be too hard to find
I know sometimes it seems like I
I'm just a little bit behind
I get back on the beat and you know it
Your love is the best thing that I got
And it's only just begun
But it's never gonna stop
It's the best thing
The best thing that I got
Your love is the best thing
(Best thing that I got x3, Best thing)
And it's only just begun
(Best thing that I got x3)
It's the best thing
As the song ended, the crowd burst with cheers and applause. The girls bowed before walking off the stage, Y/N towards someone in particular.
Y/N: "So, what did you think?"
Donnie gave her a loving smile in response.
Donnie: "Wonderful surprise, my Aphrodite. I couldn't be more surprised, nor relieved that I'm not the only drama queen who embraces that title."
They all gave out a laugh as they headed back towards the lair. The happy couple spent the rest of their anniversary in the company of those they love and appreciate. Throughout the night, they talked, laughed, rewatched all their favorite movies with their friends and family, and managed to sneak in a few loving kisses towards each other. They were both well aware that as long as they had their family, and each other:
They would always be living their best lives.
