Th developer sat at his table, drinking tea as he attempted to calm his nerves.

"The temple of Khaz dul? Isn't that the starter dungeon?", You asked.
Yoshima visibly shivered a bit at the name being spoken out loud.

"Yes. The temple is the first dungeon many players would go to to learn the basics. To learn their class and strengths and weaknesses."

"Okay. How does that help me?"

"You want 'XP'. I give you the quest to go clear it. You return once you're done.", Yoshida says as he softly sipped his tea. It now dawned on you that this man had created so much of what is going on right now.
"Where are the other devs?", You asked.
Yoshida sighed loudly. "Gone. Those from Central City had left after the accident. The others... I haven't heard from them in years."

You bowed slightly. "For what it's worth, mr. Yoshida. Your game had brought me a lot of good moments, even in its early stages. And seeing how I am sort of living it, you will have no shortage of feedback."

He bowed back slightly, his spikier black hair pointing down as he did. "Now. Nemesis. I order you to go into the temple of Khaz D'Ul. I ask that you slay whatever lurks withon its crypts. Will you accept my request?"

"Accept.", You spoke as you stood. Yoshida bowed and guided you outside, giving directions to where the temple would normally be.

For now, however, you decided to check back with Barry.

Timeskip

You walked into the labs, seeing Barry still on the bed. Nora came in besides you, with her XS suit on.

"Hi, uncle Y/N.", She said sighing and panting.

"Oh, hey, kiddo. You doing okay? You seem pretty...winded?"

"Oh yeah. I'm fine. I'm just trying to keep central city safe while Barry is out. Man. He's good at what he does.", She continues to say.

"He is, isn't he?", You say, thinking to yourself as you walk to the door.
"Y/N?", You hear Nora call your name but you don't react.
"I look up to him. A lot. He's THE superhero of Central City. The Flash. And everytime I'm out there I try to be more like him. But...recently it feels like...like I'll never be able to keep up with him. Like I'll never be the hero he is. When I think of losing Caitlin and Frost, like I nearly did...my heart is overcome with anger and hatred. But Barry...Barry would never let that get in the way or define him. And I just...fear I would."

"That's why we intend to promise to never leave you."
You turn to the origin of the voice. You see Frost walk in in het super suit.
You can't help but smile goofily as you just admire how she looks.
"Hey there, tiger.", She says softly as she quickly kisses you.
"Look. You don't have to be like Barry to be a hero yourself. God knows I'm not. But I try my best everyday. And people appreciate it."
"Except the bad guys?", You ask jokingly.
"Except the bad guys." , She says with a smile.
"God, you're so hot when you act like a badass."
"Some are just gifted with it.", She says flicking her hair as she turns aways with a wink.
"First: cute! Second: gross! Now I know how my super uncle and aunt flirted.", Nora exclaims.

You just laugh at her. Frost passes you as she heads out. "Let's go dungeon crawling!"
"Wait. You're going to the temple with me?", You ask.
"Of course! I have to keep an eye on you!", She smiles.
"Besides. Nothing some Nat 20's can't handle.", She says as she walks off.
"Well we don't actually... Wait! Have you been watching that famous D&D show?! Frost, hey, wait!", You yell as you catch up, Nora just laughing to herself as she readies herself to run out again.

Timeskip

You both arrive at a museum. You think to yourself whether this really is the right place.
"What in the world? A museum?", You ask out loud.
Frost walks in. Considering it is late, luckily there are no visitors around. Just a sleeping night guard.

"The temple would have to be somewhere.", Frost says  out loud, wandering around.

You walk around for what seems to be an hour, before seeing one of the new exhibits. A reconstructed temple. Smaller in scale, just enough to house it within one of the larger rooms, but a temple still.

You get Frost's attention and make your way over to the front of it.
"Ancient looking, made out of stones, probably housing some dead Pharaoh, King or ruler.", She says.
"This has to be it, then.", You laugh.
"Now. How do we go in then?", You reminisced as you walked closer to what seemed to be a door. No handles, just stone slabs pushed against each other. No imprints, no riddles, just crudzly drawn depictions.
"If I remember correctly...", You say as you walk back a step or two as you looked at the door.
"Khaz Dul! I have come to challenge you!"

The machinations started to turn as the two slabs of stone moved apart. Both of you walked in, you keeping Frost behind you.
"How did you know that?", She asked.
"I've done this dungeon in the game. Let us hope that the door isn't the only resemblance."

You both walked in, treading steps downward into the basement. The hallway leading down was very much in the style of the temple, having crude drawings and texts in an ancient language upon their sand colored stones.

After you walk for a while, you realize that the stones have turned to avgray color as you go.
"This should be the videogame part. So, if I remember correctly..."
You stop walking, holding Frost back after two more steps.
"What? What is it?", She asks.
You just start counting down.
"Three. Two. One."
The wall burst open as you see multiple spikes smash through and slowly retract.
"We have a solid ten seconds until those spikes return.", You explain to her.

You guide her through it, slowly but surely, and arrive at the end of the hallway.
A few bats come flying down and attempt to strike and bite at your face. You easily take them down with a couple of sword swings.
"Yeah, those enemies were total pushovers. So a lot of it is the same.", You said out loud.
"So, this Khaz Dul should then be easily taken down. Right?", Frost asks.
"Well... Let's just say they still had to downtune him. A lot."
You walked towards the room and stood in the middle.
Smoke started gathering on the sides as an unnerving laughter echoed throughout the room.
"Feeble mortal! Though a Nemesis you may be, I shall still unmake thee!"
The walls seemed to dissappear as a huge bandaged skeletal hand grabbed onto the edge of the floor.
"Thine death shall be no waste! In mine army, thine corpse will be raised!"
The skeletal, mumified pharaoh figure rose up as you summoned a greatsword.
"What. The. Fuck?", Was all Frost said, as the boss fight began.
