Here you were. Back in your cell. It had been a few hours after the transfusion. You were wondering what she felt. What she would think once she woke up and heard how her boyfriend made a living being into nothing more than a piece of skin on the concrete of the airport.

You were seated against the wall, your knees pulled up to you. You'd been thinking this over and over in your mind. Every possible scenario playing in front of your eyes.

And it hurt.

So many ways she could hurt you. She could tell you that she'd believed in you and that you had failed.

She could yell at you. Saying how she and Frost had tried so hard every day not to let go and that you just did in mere seconds.

Or she could tell you that you were a mistake to begin with. A loose cannon.

In so many of these scenarios, you continued to be stuck in the cell. With her ring in your hands as she had thrown it in your cell.

What were you gonna do? Barry wouldn't let you out anymore. He saw you as the villain.

You feel so unsure about what she would think. You lower your head onto your knees and closed your eyes.

"The mind is often an adversary rather than an ally."

His voice again. The armor's. You look up but you can't see it.

"But what if she hates me? What if she won't even give me a chance?"

"What if the world ends in five seconds?", it replied simply.

You had the look of disbelief over your face.

"If it is time for something to happen, then you cannot run nor hide from it. It is necessary to face your hardships, so you may enjoy the peace that comes after."

You looked at your feet.

"Without her, there will be no peace.", you replied as you got up.

"Without Frost. Without Caitlin. These powers may as well be pointless. Yes, I can do great things. Things others would die for. But what do these powers matter? They matter. Caitlin and Frost matter to me more than any power ever will. Over these past few months, I have done and witnessed so many things, things I could've only dreamed off. But one thing is consistent. They were there. Every step of the way."

You looked down at your feet. Unaware of the celldoor opening behind you.

"So if she deems it necessary to abandon me. Then I may as well rot in here."

"I'm not abandoning you, Y/N. Ever."

Her. Voice? You turned around and saw a teary eyed Caitlin stand in front of you. Your legs felt like rubber. Your eyes started to tear up. Your heart beating faster.

"Caity?"

She smiled that sweet smile as you walked closer to her. You looked behind her and saw the crew behind her.

Sherloque just waved shortly at you. Barry seemed a bit disappointed. But a stern yet kindly smiling Iris stood next to him.

"Caity... I...I...", you attempted to start, but she instantly walked up to you and held you, causing your eyes to overflow with tears.

"It's okay. It's alright. I've heard you. We've heard you.", she whispered.

You held her tight, thankful for the forgiveness. Thankful for them. You got another chance.

Timeskip to when you got home with Caitlin

You walked in slowly as she opened the door and stepped inside.

She turned. She seemed quiet. You weren't sure what to think of it.

"Y/N..."

You looked up. She had turned around and leaned upon a table, her arms crossed. Then she opened them and motioned for you to hug her. Which you did.

"Tell me everything. Please. I can see it's stuck in your system and it hurts to see you this pained."

You held on tightly.

"I thought you were both gonna give up on me.", you stammered.

"No. Why would we?

"Because I'm a murderer."

"No.", she cupped your cheek and made you look at her. "Don't say that. You're not. You are Y/N. Not a murderer."

You put your hand over hers as she rubbed your cheek with a thumb.

"I thought I was gonna lose you both.", you said softly, your voice still somewhat trembling.

She simply led you to the couch, shere you slumped into each others arms.

She softly whispered. "You know what Frost said the other day? What an amazing hero our future husband is. How he flew out to an airfield to find out how to heal us. How to bring us back."

You were silent. You couldn't bring yourself to speak.

"And she could only imagine what must've gone through him when he figured out how to heal us. At what lengths he went to find what he needed to save us."

You looked into her eyes.

"You saved us, Y/N. You really did. And we know you can become better. We believe so, rather deeply. So stop being hard on yourself. Please."

You were speechless. You simply nodded, laid down with her and slowly started to feel at peace. As your eyes became heavier and her breathing seemed to soothe you, you fell asleep then and there.

Timeskip to the morning

"Y/N. Y/N. Wake up."

You groan, waking up to frosts voice. She is just carressing you softly a smile on her face.

"Hi." She says softly.

"Hey, snowflake.", you whispered.

"Am I glad to see you at last.", she said. Her voice seemed shaky.

You crawled up to her and held her.

"As if you'd get rid of me that easily.", you said with a smile.

It was moments like these. The small moments. That's what made you feel complete.

"Did you really think we were going to give up on you? We overheard the conversation in the core.", she asked.

You looked her in the eyes and then back fown to the couch.

"My mind was...just running off all the possibilities in my mind. Playing every possible scenario. If it were up to Barry...I'd still be locked up."

She cupped your face with both hands, making you look into her eyes.

"It's not up to him. It's up to everyone. And everyone voted to get you out. You're a good guy. And even Barry couldn't deny that."

She kissed you softly. Her lips feeling a bit more hungry than before. Well, considering it's been a while, that wasn't too strange.

"I'm grateful.", you said. She looked at you a bit surprised.

"For you. For Caity. For us. For our relationship. For our friends. Or rather our family. I was ready to believe that this world was just the same routine over and over. But you guys showed me otherwise. You have quite literally saved me."

She smiled, her eyes sparkling before grabbing you and starting to undress you as you had both missed each other for a really long time.
